Also, curious how many nationally televised games we get this year. I assume 50% of the schedule will be released in the next week or two. Any chance we get a Christmas game?

The FO need to sign another couple of perimeter players (surely minimum contracts) and the most important thing...to get done that long term deal for Saric.

Hopefully tomorrow everything is finalized. We are just one week away from training camp.

I would expect we do not use the BAE and instead save it for the buyout market.

Also, all recently signed players will be eligible to be traded on Dec. 15th. Before the season even starts! Keep an eye out for more movement right up until opening night (not necessarily from us, moreseo the rest of the league).

Expected depth chart:
Paul/Cam/Okobo
Booker/Moore/Alexander
Bridges/Nader
Crowder/Cam/Smith
Ayton/Saric/Smith/Jones

Edit: forgot Carter. He would be backup SG and Moore at backup SF.

Cant complain about how things turned out. Baynes went East, and Gasol isnt going to a west team in direct competition with us for playoffs.

I agree with your lineup... That's most likely rotation, except Nader prob not get any run. EMoore known to play tons of SF and will backup Bridges if he goes down.

Yeah definitely - the backup SF minutes will likely be split between Moore, Johnson and Crowder (matchup depending). The great thing about having so much flexibility!

Congrats to B-Dubs on the E'Twaun Moore signing. No doubt that JJ has been reading your posts the past few days and couldn't resist!

The Damian Jones signing is a head scratcher to me though. Can't really think too hard about it for a vet min 3rd stringer I suppose.

Yeah I catually think another big wouldn't be bad. We're still kind of small. We still don't have a Baynes replacement either. Smith is close, but Baynes was a big, tough enforcer behind Ayton. If Saric is gonna play the backup 5, he's definitely not powerful on the defensive end. We need someone to bang out against someone like boban or other huge bigs. Hoping Damian Jones isn't who they have in mind.

Went from not playing much in the league to getting waived and playing in China. Comes back for a second chance and changes everyone's opinion of him. Then in less than 3 seasons, he becomes vastly overpaid and lazy stiff to now getting virtually no looks from any NBA teams.
