Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker most recently. It happened alot in the older days ... Magic, Bird, Richard Dumas, Oliver Miller, Sam Cassell,

I'm sure we can find more. Its really how much trust and encouragement the coach gives the rookie if they are ready. Also a team with quality vets really helps too.

Exactly! In the older days players never exited for the NBA after 1 year - it was not allowed by the NBA. Two years was the minimum. Three and four year college careers were the norm. Rookies were much more mature and ready to compete at a high level and could contribute to a playoff caliber team then they are now.

OK, it happens, but you are talking about once a decade for the Spurs (though I guess Duncan would be too though that's two decades ago). The thing is, these were already extremely deep teams that had gone deep in the playoffs for years and integrated rookies, and of course a couple you name are superstars.

You can find them, but it's extremely rare. Maybe one every few years. Typically super duper stars like LeBron can get their teams to the playoffs, but even most star quality players who come in get on bad teams and struggle to make the playoffs for a while (Durant, Griffin, Davis, etc).

Zeller, Snell and Steven Adams all made fairly significant contributions to playoff teams last year. The year before, Harrison Barnes started 81 games for Golden State.

The year before that, Faried and Shumpert both started 30+ games and played big minutes. It seems to happen 2-3 times per year on average. So I don't think TJ playing 15-20 minutes is unreasonable, even if we are competing for the playoffs, assuming he is as good as we suspect.

I don't know if I'd call Zeller's significant. Barnes was fairly significant due to injuries, and definitely Adams. I think Warren might be capable, but we have so much depth it's tougher unless someone gets traded.

Goran Dragic specifically mentioned how impressed he's been with Len so far in the workouts as well.

"He looks really good, much better than last year. Last year he had a lot of injuries, but this year he's moving well, and in the pick-up games we've been playing he looks amazing."

Goran also went on to explain that Alex, along with Archie Goodwin, has been one of the team's biggest surprises compared to last year.

"I think Alex is really more comfortable. He's got that fire back in him, and I think he can help this team a lot this season."

The best picture I saw during media day was Bledsoe giving Al McCoy a big hug... Great picture wish I could post it with the app.

If Archie comes out and shines... I can see us trading Green.

Nah, we need shooters. A bench unit of Isaiah, Green, Mook, Tolliver and Len should be money if they learn how to move the ball effectively.

I think we need Archie's defense in that lineup. IT, Archie, Green, one of Mook/Tolliver, Len.
