Well, provided they could get a solid center next year. It's not all that easy. Most of the solid ones are locked up or getting locked up. Knicks are settling for Robin Lopez.

I think he will go to SA for the family reasons, but not because it is a better basketball situation, especially long term.

Duncan is 38 years old. The likelihood of injury, extended injury, at some time during the year is high. Also, Duncan has always been considered the Spurs starting pf. Duncan hates playing C as much as LMA.

Fact is, that LMA is as close as there is in this league to Tim Duncan in almost every way.

RIght now, LMA is trying to decide between the family issues and the bball issues. The Suns created a roster situation that is perfect for him, and very tempting. One of the things we have been seeing lately in free agency is that players will place roster fit over a chance for a championship. And being realistic, even with LMA the Spurs still have to get past GS and CLE. With the aging vets they have and the high probability of injury, they are not likely championship material.

Supposedly they are going after Lopez, wonder if they are trying to do something similar to what we did with Tyson for LMA?

Of course it's mutual. Now he can hang out with Brook all the time.

Even the best chess players lose sometimes.

If LMA was so gung ho on going to the Spurs, why even hold any meetings>?

As crappy as it is to say, LMA could just be using us amongst other teams to leverage a higher market value for himself. Though, to me that doesn't make much sense as he easily commands max money.

Again, it probably comes down primarily to money.

If SAS don't get LMA they ain't making the playoffs this year. They lost quality bigs and TD is old man.

Because Duncan has a season left at best. Because Duncan takes a lot of games off and when he's not playing, guess who the center ends up being.

Maybe this is why the Spurs are trying to trade for Heywood, either to keep as a C or in a salary cap dump to bring in a guy like Koufos or Fropez

The Spurs are still the favorite but the Suns having 2 centers locked up long term only helps their cause.

Spurs could be going oafter Heywood to kill one of the Suns ways to shed salary.

Cool. We get LMA and knock SA out of the picture at the same time. Get it done McD!

I don't get the Knicks. Signing LMA would basically give them 3 PF's and #$%-all on the rest of the roster. Carmelo loves to be a chucker from the perimeter, he's better suited to be PF than SF, Aldridge loves to play from the perimeter, meh.

I think the Knicks should have gone all in on DJ, had him be a strong defensive presence with Anthony and the Latvian, take their lumps this year and come out gunning for some backcourt help next year.

Man this really bothers me. If he starts missing his kid and what not, guess what, a flight from Phoenix to San Antonio is only two hours. Get a private jet, and that cuts out all the airport time, so realistically if he wanted to see his kid on an off day during the season, he just has to make a phone call and three hours later he's with his kid.

I doubt that they are that worried about it. They need a center, they know they need a center and I think they will be gunning for Koufos from Memphis who is a solid defensive presence.

If the Suns need a salary dump, there are a few teams that will oblige if enough draft picks are thrown in.

So apparently Deandre Jordan is in meeting with Knicks/Phil Jackson. They don't have enough money to max out both him and LMA, right?

Good deal for them.

Hurts Dallas' chance at LMA. Who do they have at PG now? Aging Dirk. Rondo gotta be going somewhere else.

They could be really bad. And Boston owns their pick next year (top 7 protected). They must be stoked they traded for Rondo now. They gave up Brandan Wright and a first round pick for a Rondo that made them worse, and now they don't have a center.

I don't know about all of that. David West is a lock if they want him, he isn't what he once was but still a solid, quality rotational player. Bring in a center like Koufos or Sideshow Rob, add a free agent shooter and they are back in the next mix next season.

Maybe. They really need to get Jordan or they are in trouble. Phil said he wanted Melo to play the 4.

Does Sarver have a jet that he could give LMA access to as a "perk" to go see his kid? Or an unlimited voucher for flights to and from Texas to go see his family? Is that even allowed? I know it is in baseball.

If we get LMA and trade away the Morris twins what's to say that we don't go out and pick up David West on a vet minimum contract or one of the exceptions?

Bledsoe/Ish/Goodwin
Knight/Booker
Tucker/Warren
LMA/West
Chandler/Len

Seems like a pretty decent team if you ask me. Wouldn't be as strong with Amare but still pretty good too.

I feel like this was something Sarver may have discussed, I'm sure he has a private jet or access to one.

What about the pterodactyl?

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
