The board will explode if that happens, but Chriss, Ellensn, then to get Luwawu all the way down at 28??? R U kidding me??? That would be a win in my book, even if we did bypass Bender for Chriss.

I just don't get the 'hate' for Chriss on this board--Shooting??-Check. Athleticism?? Check. Blocking??-Check. Starting PF??-Check.

I can see why fans are enthralled with Hield, and if we take him, then I'm confident there's a plan to get him and Booker minutes. But to act like Hield is a 'can't miss' SG, yet Chriss is most assuredly a failure and epic reach at 4?? That, I do not get. 69% FT nd 35% 3PT for a Freshman PF is impressive; the kid has upside. And to some how 'diminish' his 2nd chance opportunities he gives his team with his OReb, because he didn't do as well with DReb? That, I also, do not get. The kid knows how to Rebound; he just needs some coaching up on boxing out and awareness.

I would be okay with that because of Ellenson, but Chriss before Bender :noway: If we draft Chriss I will tell myself Chriss is skinny shoulder Amare with a 3pt shot.

The Celtics have asked Jaylen Brown back (very publicly) for a second workout. They also did this with Marcus Smart. Danny Ainge tried to trade with Charlotte last year in order to draft Justise Winslow. Why Charlotte did not make that trade or why they drafted Kaminsky, I will never know. Ainge obviously covets that type of player. So, things that would not surprise me.

1. Both Bender and Chriss being available at #4.

The Lakers are doing weird stuff right now with the hype over Buddy Hield. They really, really like him. He worked out with Kobe for 2 hours. I suppose they could be trying to get another pick and take him at 3, 4, or 5. They would not take him at 2 would they? They took Russell instead of Okafor last year. That was a huge surprise, so its not out of the realm. Guards are in demand in the NBA right now.

2. The Lakers trading down to take Hield. So, would the Suns do that? Trade #4 and #13 for #2 maybe? The Lakers could take Hield at #4 and still get a decent SF or C at #13. Suns take Ingram or Simmons.

This could get interesting.

I would love that and hope the Lakers and I are wrong about Buddy. What if the C's try to cock block?

Edit: Lakers would draft then trade maybe they don't want Simmons.

I would do that, but thats not what they Lakers are trying to do.

#4/Knight for Russell/Randle

Ingram is a ball dominant Point-Forward (Like LeBron) and would benefit from having more of a scoring PG next to him. Lakers roll with Knight/Hield/Ingram/Nance Jr./Whiteside(Signed as a FA)

Suns then trade Bledsoe for #8/future 1st.

Russell/Booker/Warren/Randle/Len and draft BPA with #8 & #13

Only according to us. I edited my post. They'd draft first then trade. But maybe they want Ingram and are thinking if Simmons fall, instead of the other way around.

Maybe they believe in a Buddy D'Angelo back court..... Would be dynamic, possibly.

I don't like Russell. Knight, Bledsoe and the #4> Russell, Randle, and #8 IMO (#8 is the big drop off for me).

I would do 4, 13, 28. And since I would do that, why would I let a second rounder stand in the way. Maybe I try to get a second rounder back from the Lakers.

Any news on Bender's workout yet?

Wish I knew something, but the only info I got today was that Chinanu Onuaku worked out 1-on-1 with Eric Jacobsen today and that Bender had an individual workout. Onuaku is probably getting late workouts in since he missed draft time to recover from when he had surgery on his heart after learning at the draft he has Wolff-Parkinson-White syndome. I'm also almost positive that we've been having private workouts this past week without the Suns/Coro announcing them like they had been.

The draft is more entertaining than the actual season when you're bad enough to get a top 5 pick.

Yeah, that's for sure happening. There have been a few closed and unannounced workouts. How did Eric say Onuaku was? I think teams are going to be a little scared off and he could drop into the 2nd round.

Think he hit 36 out of 37 in a DraftExpress video a fortnight ago.

Stauskas also had a video of him hitting like 84 in a row though before the draft.

One benefit of taking an older player in the draft, Damian Lillard has only cost $3.5m a year in his career so far.

Well you're going to get the same financial benefit from whoever you take, regardless of age. I guess your point is you expect production quicker and are getting it at a better price early, and that could be the case, but I still would look at controlling the guy 8 or 9 years, where your team is, who has the highest upside (hopefully without too far of a downside) for your team, and take that guy.
