NAZ doesn't play until the 6th. Probably just giving him time to be with the NBA team until then. The Spurs do that a lot with their guys. Keep sending them back and forth depending on the D-League's schedule so they get at least a little bit of time with the real team.

I think they need to over achieve and aim for double great start by trading a lot of the veterans to be honest. Free the youth! And Tank for Fultz!

Rondo so bad and such a douche he's been DNP'd and replaced by Michael Carter Williams. He's meeting with their GM tonight. Sounds like a mess, the perfect time for a nervous GM trade.

Rondo has burned so many bridges in this league that I doubt that this could amount to a trade. Probably more like a "get your **** together" speech more than anything imo

Rondo has a bad attitude when he doesnt get minutes.

But lets not get carried away with declaring him garbage. Last season he averaged 11 assists a game.

He needs to play for a team that really only require him to make passes and play defense. The modern game requires him to give the ball up more and run around... Akin to what Rubio does... Rubio's assists per game is down because he is playing within the system more... Rondo wants to create plays directly... And thats where he collides with coaches.

Here is to hoping earl Watson works his magic again. Last year he highlighted markieff Morris right before the deadline made him the number one option and while losing he was balling out off fools gold because of all the touches.

Do the same for knight we all know he's good as gone make the dude look good

Rondo is a decent player yet, but he is on the downside of his career. Good backup if he accepts that role on a playoff team.

He only is gonna get worse, and he is a little bit of a headcase. I do not want him on the Suns.

Booker will have a reoccurring injury for his toe starting in late January. Knight will be forced to start. He will put up numbers similar to what he put up in the beginning of last season which was around 20/5/4 (I think). We'll trade him to the Pelicans for Tyreke Evans contract and a 1st round pick (top 10 protection). They will likely make the playoffs and it will be the No 14-15 pick in the draft.
Then we'll trade Bledsoe/PJ/Chandler to the Magic for Jeff Green/Nikola Vucevic/Jodie Meeks & Magic 2018 1st round pick (top 5 protection) & 2020 1st round pick (top 5 protection).

So we'll go into the summer of 2017 with
Ulis/LB
Booker/Jones Jr
Warren/Dudley
Bender/Chriss
Len/Vucevic

Or go a different route and do...
Suns get-
Blake Griffin

Clippers get-
TJ Warren
Marquese Chriss
Brandon Knight
2018 Miami 1st round pick

only if Griffin signs an extension or some kind of promise to stay with us.

Bledsoe/Booker/Bender/Griffin/Chandler
Ulis/LB/Tucker/Dudley/Len

Was thinking how Sac want a PG but reportedly don't have anything we want (CHI owns their pick 11-30), and also how Knight would look good in CHI with Rondo on the outs... Can't we bundle a three way?

Build something around:

Sac gets Bledsoe (Cousins says thanks)
Bulls get Knight

Suns get Kings pick, Bulls pick (protections mutually adjusted as required).

I would not be surprised if Rondo ends up here. If my memory is correct, wasn't McDuh instrumental in drafting him for Boston....(with our pick I think as well) ?

I say no. Alex isn't the perfect player, but he plays hard, he stays healthy, and he does the two things you really want your center to do (defend the rim, rebound the basketball) really well.

Yes, I was talking about that on the trade board. I think that would only happen if Bledsoe and Knight were both moved, and only as a stopgap year and a half guy tasked with passing enough to everyone else unselfishly to help them develop offensively.

But still, with his issues, I don't see it happening, and I don't think they have any plans to trade Bledsoe. I think they want Bledsoe as starter and Ulis as backup for now.

I think that's right. Given that (1) Ulis and Bled have looked like two of our better players of late, (2) they seem to play well together, (3) Warren has reaaaally struggled since returning from [undisclosed head injury], (4) this draft is about as strong at the 3 as it is at the 1, and (5) a full healthy season from Bledsoe would likely increase his trade value, I expect us keep Bledsoe at this point.

I think people on this forum forget that McD has an actual job. Right now he is not getting it done.

Oh, I forgot, Len is already supposed to be an All-NBA Center like Chandler was at this point in his career...oh, wait...

...and how about Warren in his 2nd (yes, 2nd season of true game time)...

...or our 19 YO Booker in his 2nd season...

...or our 19 YOs Chriss and Bender in their 1st season...

...you mean, we aren't the top seed in the West yet??? For shame.... :noway:

I think you forget, to use a cliché, "Rome wasn't built in a day."

McD has made efforts that haven't worked out yet, but please, do tell, which GM, that would be willing to come to Phoenix and serve under Sarver would have done better?? And yes, please mention guys like Riley, etc., who ALSO, suck this year, and wouldn't come here anyway...

I love all the naysayers on this forum, yet none that offer actual plausible, realistic 'fixes'...like "trade Len!", yet do not have a plan to cover for his loss at a reasonable cost that is actually BETTER than Len...of course that's just one example. I mean, we could pay $16M for a Mozgov-level vet or $12.5M for a Plumlee-level Center. Yeah, those would be an improvement... :nonono:

OK, off soapbox...

Ok, well building on the framework I outlined above:

Suns out: Bledsoe, Knight, Tucker
Suns in: Rondo, Gay, Mclemore, better of Kings/Bulls 2017 1st (both top 3 protected)

Rondo, Ulis
Booker, Mclemore
Gay, Warren
Bender, Chriss
Len, Chandler

2017 draft: PG and SF to replace Rondo, Gay.

-----------------
Kings out: Gay, Mclemore, Reduced 2017 protection (protected top 3)
Kings in: Bledsoe, Tucker

Bulls out: Rondo, possible pick swap if Bulls finish worse than Kings
Bulls in: Knight, lesser of Bulls/ Kings 2017 1st (both top 3 protected).

-----------------
Pick conditions
*likely that both picks will be in the 10-16 range*

If both Bulls and Kings are not top 3:
Suns get better of 2 picks
Bulls get worse of 2 picks

If Bulls are top 3:
Bulls retain pick
Suns get Kings pick

If Kings get top 3 pick:
Kings retain pick
Suns get Bulls pick

If both Bulls and Kings land top 3 pick:
Kings retain their pick
Bulls retain their pick
Suns receive future Kings 1st top ? Protected.

SideSwipe wrote:Don't read too much into this plus/minus. It is one stat, but player value is based off way more than that. Put a star player next to these guys and your plus/ minus will still not be good. The team as a while has to be playing well while you are on the floor for your own personal plus/minus to go us. Less scoring for the Suns as a while, means less plus/minus to go around. For the Suns with their record there will be a lot of people with personal plus/minus far into the negative because of it. Bad record will lead to that. Give it some time.

All that said, I would much prefer not to be on that list once, let alone twice.

Yes, it's funny how people do not realize that when you take off the GOOD players, and substitute them with the BAD or INEXPERIENCED players, the +/- will be poor for that player.

Len has had 4 games of 30+ minutes. In those games he's had a +9, +10, -2, and -9, for an overall net of +8. Funny how that works...
