Im actually quite surprised hes doing so poorly. book would still be book even on the current blazers team. so i guess im still not sure where DA lands....probably somewhere in the middle of suns DA and blazers DA
Well it's obviously a lot different when you are a primary ball handler. Also, for a guy like Ayton, he is going to play much better with an offense that can space the floor and Portland can't, so he is very tough to utilize on offense unless you want him to go like 1 on 2 or 3...but generally the space is so packed there isn't much for passing lanes to get him the ball. Surely if you've watched them you've noticed this. I haven't watched them a ton but have tuned in a few times and it's the exact same thing every time, and often when Grant has the ball he does get open but Grant just wants to score himself. Most (or all) of the guards are shoot first as well.
He doesn't look good, but the team offense overall just looks like a mess. It's ugly...and with Simons, Scoot and Brogdon out it obviously doesn't help.
We should be able to pad our point differential with in season tourney games against Portland tonight and Memphis Friday (without Ja, Smart, Adams or Clarke).
This should be a 25 point drubbing.
Should be more if we keep KD in for his 38 minutes of whatever like we usually do. Book might want to play more minutes too. Nurkic and Eubanks will be extra motivated for sure.

If I'm going chain restaurant burger I'll go Culver's over in and out, added bonus because I can get a side of fried cheese curds with it.RaisingArizona wrote:SunsRback4Good wrote:Stix wrote:Still averaging a double-double but he ain't HIM.

Culver’s is good. Went there often in FLA.

Yeah one better like pasta and pizza going to Italy in general. Found their culinary overrated, but I'm not a pasta fan and didn't visit best restaurants either.
Not sure how it turned into a culinary thread, but it's a bit more interesting than 6th year of DA bashing.

Re: Ayton: Post Suns Haters
I think it’s safe now to quit comparing Ayton to Nurkic. One is greater than the other and on a much cheaper contract

Glad for this game. Completely reminded of why I stopped caring for him quite a while ago. He has no feel for the game.
I can move on.

Nearly an hour after the game, Deandre Ayton taking selfies with young Suns fans. Also watched him give a warm embrace to at least half a dozen security members at Footprint Center, all of whom he knew by name. Same smiley dude, win or lose.

Re: Ayton: Post Suns Haters
Ayton is a good person and it's unfortunate it didn't work out here and is getting so much hate. I think I started following him on IG after those posts about unfollowing Booker. Last he posted a story with his kid. Nice stuff.
As I said in the other thread different personalities with Booker so not that surprising they didn't become close but more like Shaq & Kobe in that regard. Booker now has KD who's built a lot more like him, so all good.

Re: Ayton: Post Suns Haters
As a hater of his game, I would like to point out that he was like -31 plus/minus last night. But he seems like a decent dude off the court.
