every round was going to be hard no matter who they played, which is why I can't get behind trying to duck anyone, if you want to be considered one of the best you have to be able to go out there and compete with anyone, and there are no easy matchups in the playoffs in the west. I hate the scared mentality of some of the fans.. Either we are good enough to play with whoever or we were fake contenders all along and best to to know the truth
Suns fans broken-recording "Well. Sucks that we came in 2nd and we'll be out of the playoffs in 5 games at most" are annoying the **** out of me. Why even watch if that's your mentality?
The Lakers have never been all that impressive to me this season. Even when healthy I think they went to OT with the Thunder twice in a row. However, LeBron has a different gear in the playoffs and has been to the conference finals for 10 straight years when making the playoffs (only year he didn't make playoffs he was injured much of the season on the Lakers team before the AD trade).
And they lost only 1 game in each round last year. And due to size, they are a difficult matchup for us to defend.
I'm not scared really, but it is reasonable to think that the 2 seed playing the Lakers is less fortunate than being the 4 seed and getting the Mavs.
I think a healthy Lakers team would probably be top 5...Blazers might be top 5 but definitely top 6 if healthy all year..Dallas almost certainly 7th.
And of course the likely reward if we do beat the Lakers is the Clippers.
But last time we had that road we did make it to the WCF....as did Dallas.
