My dad has been following the Lakers throughout the season and a Lebron fan and he doesnt seem as confident as everybody else is about the Lakers in the first round. In fact e believes Golden State has a legit chance to get 7th in the play-in. Maybe he knows something we don't? Then again he also thought CP3 was washed.

Would be even better if Lakers lost both play in games

I've accepted well probably have a 1st round series against the Lakers. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. Unless Warriors/Grizz pull something out, it's gonna be a bloody tough 1st round

Well the Warriors have won 5 straight, and the Lakers haven't been all that good in the games Lebron has been back. Since it's only one game, it certainly wouldn't be a shock if they lost. And I'd definitely welcome them losing both play in games =p. With Lebron's comments about the play in tourney, you have to think he's a little worried about it.

With our luck I bet we take the first seed only for the Lakers to lose the first play-in game and win the second...

Someone haven't been watching the past 2 years. Vogel got him playing terrific defense again.

He has old wheels, thats just a fact. If you can't swing the ball fast enough to expose him you're doing it wrong

I somewhat agree. Last season Lakers were one of healthiest teams in the regular season which carried over their momentum into the playoffs and no team had a chance. This season they are riddled with injuries plus they lost good defenders in Rondo, McGee, & Dwight. Obviously added some offensive firepower. We can beat them if we move the rock and limit our TO's as we've done a good job all season long. I believe!!!

Hmm, watching Steph hand Memphis their asses to them in the clutch, they are not going to be any easier than the Lakers imo.

every round was going to be hard no matter who they played, which is why I can't get behind trying to duck anyone, if you want to be considered one of the best you have to be able to go out there and compete with anyone, and there are no easy matchups in the playoffs in the west. I hate the scared mentality of some of the fans.. Either we are good enough to play with whoever or we were fake contenders all along and best to to know the truth

Suns fans broken-recording "Well. Sucks that we came in 2nd and we'll be out of the playoffs in 5 games at most" are annoying the **** out of me. Why even watch if that's your mentality?

Oh I am not scared. Just saying it maybe means we don't worry about who ends up in the play-in and focus on playing our best

Gonna ask a dumb question but what's the go with being enshrined into the HOF and inducted? Every year it seems like there's like a dozen player/coaches/refs/contributors getting enshrined but only one gets to be inducted? Is that how it works?

Enshrined/inducted are the same. Basketball is pretty loose with their HoF. Which I do as long as they are consistent.

Shawn Marion belongs in IMO.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I'd much rather play Lakers in the first round where they are still a little rusty trying to reintegrate with the long Lebron and Anthony Davis injuries, than in the Western Conference Finals where they are back to full stride and at their peak ability.

I thought about posting this. Was going to say almost exactly that...being so used to gut punches both our wishes would come true. Kings somehow win then Warriors win the play in.

The Lakers have never been all that impressive to me this season. Even when healthy I think they went to OT with the Thunder twice in a row. However, LeBron has a different gear in the playoffs and has been to the conference finals for 10 straight years when making the playoffs (only year he didn't make playoffs he was injured much of the season on the Lakers team before the AD trade).

And they lost only 1 game in each round last year. And due to size, they are a difficult matchup for us to defend.

I'm not scared really, but it is reasonable to think that the 2 seed playing the Lakers is less fortunate than being the 4 seed and getting the Mavs.

I think a healthy Lakers team would probably be top 5...Blazers might be top 5 but definitely top 6 if healthy all year..Dallas almost certainly 7th.

And of course the likely reward if we do beat the Lakers is the Clippers.

But last time we had that road we did make it to the WCF....as did Dallas.

If we win, yes. If not, I'd rather watch up play 3 rounds of playoff basketball. But yes, of course hey should be more on a roll then unless they are fatigued (probably not the case since AD and LeBron rested for 2-3 months).
