Re: Alex Len
I just want to trade Chandler at this point and see what Len can do. Given the market value for centers I think we can get him at a very reasonable price.

Spurs are quiet... and Dedmon has not been resigned.. They could be targeting Len. But Suns may match anyways.

One year deal and so what? Next year we lost the right to match for a serviceable bigman who can still develop.
As 1UPZ said above, I can see Spurs sign him and him being solid 13/10/2.5 player for the next decade.

If Spurs targeted Len I would match any offer.

Re: Alex Len
Looks like Alex and Nerlens Noel are in the same boat. Maybe when Nerlens signs it sets the market for Len. Both are under achieving high picks from the same draft, let's see what Nerlens gets I guess.

Everyone know Cuban will match. That's why no interest on Nerlens.

If that's true then we should offer Noel the max.

I doubt we'd want to be stuck with it if they decided not to, especially if our medical staff didn't give him a pass during the draft 4 years ago. He had another surgery since.
Noel will get a lot more than Len. There just isn't a big market for centers left. Brooklyn maybe if they want a young one and don't want to play Mozgov much. Len is better.
But a guy like Willie Reed might be a better option to some..he's a bit like Alan Williams.

Re: Alex Len
^Definitely don't want to be stuck with his contract, I was simply saying we should offer it if Cuban will in fact match any offer. Mostly a joke... I don't like Noel.

Re: Alex Len
They just got the best PNR guard in the draft... you can bet pretty easily that they'll match ANY offer for Noel.

Looks like he bulked up a bit and/or maybe that's just what the photo looks like in general from that angle.

two year deal - team option for the 3rd year
year 1 6.5
year 2: 8
year 3: 10.5 with 1m guaranteed if total not picked up
He gets two years to show his stuff; Suns would get a nice salary for year 3

I hope he isn't fat and slow like Chriss now.

Love it. Len was always concerned about losing his agility and wanting to expand his game. That ship has sailed. Alex is a true big. Be strong, rebound, protect the rim, finish, hit your free throws.
I would like to re-sign him if we can deal Tyson. We don't need more than one true non-Saucy center (and Alan should get more minutes than whomever of the two we keep).

Yea. Let Len and Sauce get all of the mins, except when we go small. Ease Bender into that five or Chriss.

Use Len when appropriate for defensive purposes. Otherwise, Alan gets most of the C minutes. To the extent that Bender can steal more than 5-10 minutes a night from Alan at center, you unleash the Dragan.
