Not this year, but I think he will be a 10-12th man at some point. He looks like he has a smooth stroke from everywhere but they just don't seem to drop.

What are you talking about, he's 4/5

Today he is. Let's see if he can keep it that way for all 3+ games.

He did admit he needs to focus on focusing
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

If booker got a target painted on his back he would just elevate his game more, thats he type of competitor he is.

1) Team defense was nice
2) Free throw shooting sucked ... I was worried about this because Bender is just a so-so FT shooter but everyone shot bad
3) If Bender develops a decent outside shot (17-19 ft) he will kill teams with his driving and passing ability
4) Bender has a great motor
5) Ullis will earn minutes this year as a backup.
6) Team took care of the ball ... only 8 turnovers
7) Chriss is very, very athletic

8) Booker is a stud

Nash/Bell/Marion/Diaw/Kurt Thomas was top 5 in DRTG ahead of the Ben Wallace Pistons through the All Star Break in 05/06

then KT got injured :(

Bender is a player that has a big impact on the court even when he is not shooting well. I really loved his game.

I know they said they were gonna play booker in 2 games but I really don't see the point in playing him again. We know he can play and why risk the injury. I realize he'll be playing basketball regardless and will be at the select team camp but pick up games and structured practice is less dangerous than a summer league game with scrubs running around playing for their basketball lives.

Thought bender looked good even though his shot wasn't falling. Chriss is raw as hell but does show some glimpses. Ulis looked pretty good. Williams has a good shot to make the team.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Is there a single player in the NBA who has ever had a target painted on his back b/c of trash talk? I seriously cannot think of even one. And the only player who ever really vocally annoyed by Booker's trash talk was Jimmy Butler....who just recently mentioned Booker first as one of the most exciting young players in the league...

Gotta say I'm happy with what I saw from the rookies today. Bender is so mobile and wants to be physical, but he doesn't quite have the strength to bully people yet. I'm not worried about his shot, it looks good coming out just isn't quite falling, he'll get it going for sure. I liked his chippy-ness and how competitive he was though. Chriss is really damn athletic, he was struggling finishing at the rim and his shot didn't fall, but he hustled hard and did a good job on the defensive end. His rebounding and defensive positioning look like they're improving. Ulis was exactly what I expected on the offensive end: floor general making the right plays. He definitely gives a lot of effort on defense and didn't get abused for his size too much. I was especially happy with how we took care of the ball as a team, were intense on the defensive end at all times, and I loved seeing the team get up and into Vonleh the second he touched Book. Already excited for tomorrow's game for sure. Booker is a beast, he completely took over that 3rd quarter.

I do think it would be valuable to continue building chemistry between those guys (including Williams who will probably have a roster spot).

I also would rather have those 4 guys playing with Booker (who has nothing to prove and wants to help them develop) than another guard who has no chance of making our roster and will look to pad individual stats to be picked up by another team. And I love what he showed them today - he was playing pretty unselfishly but once things got chippy he turned on the switch and showed them how it's done.

Chriss looks like he needs a lot more seasoning, and he looked particularly lost on defense, but the flashes he showed on offense have me very excited. I have a feeling dude's gonna be spending a lot of time in Prescott.

Bender was making all the right decisions. Great ballhandler, solid rebounder, moved the ball really well, even brought it up the court a few times with ease. Just a smart ballplayer. Once his nerves settle on offense he'll be a rotation player, and I think that could be pretty soon.

Ulis looks like he'll spend way more time in the Suns rotation than in Prescott already. My gosh, he's fun to watch.

Alan Williams is the perfect deep bench guy. Motor never stops.

If Alec Brown works really hard, he'll have a nice career in Europe.

And finally...

Devin Booker is the best player in the universe.
