I think part of it is shot quality. Sometimes he purposefully takes a contested long 3 off the dribble or a super long pull up.

Wouldn't call it a play call...he waved people off and then just did his own thing. It's not like that was a play written up by Monty, but we should have called a timeout if we had one to set up a play. That's on Monty.
