The bitterness from McDonough is palpable lol he's done a good job of making a clown of himself on Twitter so far.

Djedefre wrote:At this point, i'd like to hear a lil' somethin' on our offensive sets going forward. There has to be a good amount of adjustments with Paul running the point. Will we roll more traditional lineups, or something like PG-SG-3wings... I'd like to see us run as much as we can (as few picks as possible, 5 out, constant off-ball movement and cuts for days) but with grandpa Paul i can't actually see it happening.
CP3 can run and kick ahead fine.
Its not like Rubio was a track star himself

McDunce Cap is coming off as a child
Jones has built in two years what he took many years to really destroy. His draft picks, save Booker are a bust. Well Len is now a serviceable back up. Chriss, Bender, Goodwin, Jackson -- are not good. Cam Johnson - looks pretty good
Not to mention the Ariza and Chandler debacle signings
yes, we knwo Sarver is a Sarver - but Ryan, shut it up
It is bad enough to where half of me wants to believe it is someone who created a fake account trying to make him look like a petty idiot.
I mean it's pretty unbelievable.
He sure came off as a pretty good speaker (even though you knew he was full of **** and an ****) for being such a child.

I do have to say it is very entertaining reading the Suns fans responses to that tweet though.

Lol. It is even more unbelievable he's behaving like this when he has made some of the worst decisions in recent franchise history. And whether Sarver is a problem or not, it is his job as GM to manage that and make the best of the situation for the suns (which he consistently failed to do)
Another guy is that Amin person on the Jump, he seems to make a living based on bagging out the suns from when he was there and take credit for anything good that happened and distance himself from any mistakes. If you're so smart, how come no one else has wanted you? From all accounts i've heard he wasn't even in a senior role with the suns anyway.

He has a media gig now and will continue to get them because his dad and brother are media royalty. Heck it's the only thing that saved him from the heat he most definitely deserved when he was GM. Him and Woj are buddies and those suns hit pieces after he was fired were no coincidence.bwgood77 wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:Yeah he's a child. I've said it before in some weird way the suns GM job is the best in sports because if you do well you get the credit and if you fail you can just blame Sarver. No lose situation really.

I don't even know what Amin did. He wrote a piece on Nash once and Nash didn't even know who he was. I think he was like a desk intern or something and he parlayed that into a job at ESPN.

For what it's worth with Oubre, I believe that (speculation only) back when he signed his " prove it" deal, Both the Suns and Oubre ( and agent) had other differing perspectives on overall value and length of contract. The suns opted for the two yr deal, To see if he was worth paying significantly more money for in 2021 free agency. But to his credit, Oubre did improve and ultimately changed our culture a bit. However, upon further discussion between both parties, recently prior to the bubble, Oubre and his agent settled on a number beyond what the suns front office/ ownership ( Sarver) felt was palatable.
Therefore, They both understood more or less that a parting was imminent. Hence why Oubre " chose" not to play in the bubble and potentially risk reinjury, Thusly diminishing his projected market value. I believe the suns had hope that he would play, But again, He chose not to ( don't fault him for protecting his own business interests by the way) ! But in doing so, More friction and animosity was created. Still, Oubre also had creative business/ marketing investments in the Suns ( Valley Boys). So in getting traded, He lost that personal marketing investment opportunity, Adding additional salt to the wound in his ego of not only getting paid below what he and his agent deemed his value was at. But also the slight of now being traded after more or less proving his increased value this past season, And expecting an increased payday ( poor timing in this current financial environment)![]()
And in understanding that both parties were far apart on percieved value, The Suns began quietly shopping Oubre. Jones reached out to all his connections to guage potential interest ( value) and found the Thunder willing to move Chris Paul! This worked out better for the Suns than what they originally anticipated. So they jumped on the deal. Oubre feeling somewhat slighted and salty as a result is natural. However, As many have pointed out, The NBA is a business and sports players are ultimately assets and commodities, regardless of how much attachment they foster between fans and their city. That's specifically why they get paid such an outrageous amount of money. Because it's common knowledge to all parties involved that they'll likely be moving along at some point. It's just an unfortunate nature of the business. I for my part actually really liked Oubre, Contrary to popular opinion. However, I saw this coming for awhile now. Sometimes the puzzle pieces just add up. It's really not the first time that things have played out this way in sports, And it likely won't be the last.
Having said that, The Jersey situation was really handled poorly and will ultimately reflect as poorly on our franchises image. The Suns front office must really put in better efforts still to improve their public image. In time hopefully they will?
Who cares though. Kelly oubre is a millionaire from playing basketball. His “owner” who doesn’t care about the team was paying him and others millions of dollars. The boy is a spoiled entitled brat. If he wanted to stay so badly he should’ve took a discount. He’s a bit selfish no. Can’t stand to see millionaires crying over foolishness.
I think the Jersey thing was handled just fine. No trade is a sure thing until it is. Kelly probably begged to model the New Jersey because that’s what he loves to do. Again who really cares about it. Oubre is a spoiled brat like most of these guys in the nba.
I think Sarver has gotten a bad rep because of these spoiled brats and makes our franchise look unappealing to free agents.
Just kills me how these guys burn bridges so early in their careers all because it’s a trend.
What?!?!?
Sarver has gotten a bad rap? He's not a crap owner all of a sudden and it's the players who have given this awesome owner a hard time? Are you insane? So all these stories that we've heard about Sarver are all fake news then. He didn't sell picks because he was too cheap, he didn't low ball Joe Johnson, he didn't let Steve Kerr go, he didn't single-handedly destroy the SSOL suns with his stupity? Jesus, it's you completely forgot the last 10 years. I can't beleive we found a Suns fan who is a Sarver backer LMAO. Poor Bobby S. He's just an innocent victim in all of this. Wow.....just wow.
losing Griffin and his CBA negotiations and meetings were bad too, he is wildly considered one of the least liked owners by the other owners. I think a lot of ex employees would have more to say about them if not for their own integrity and or NDAs.

Sarver is a problem, but the combo of Sarver and McD was disastrous. Many of the players that left our team had more of a problem with McD than Sarver.

Sarver has long, long, long been an awful and cheap owner, and by nearly all accounts continues to be an ****. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that him purchasing the team cost us at least 1 NBA Championship in the 2000s. He deserves the reputation of abysmal owner until proven otherwise, and one offseason certainly won't change that.
With that said, this is a weird time to criticize him. In a pandemic-altered season where finances are tighter than ever and the unadjusted cap would have been around $90M, Sarver is spending more than ever. Not only on our roster, but also on renovating a stadium that will be empty for the foreseeable future and building a new practice facility with all the bells and whistles on an expensive piece of land. He's obviously not spending like Lacob, but he's also not operating below the cap like some were suspecting going into the offseason.

It will be all good when Lebron buys the team in like 2028. His buddy James Jones is playing the long game and is buttering up Sarver to sell to Lebron after he retires.

I'm hoping the Kardashians will buy the team next year.

There are a lot of things that might turn me off to basketball altogether, but LeBron buying the Suns would be numero uno.

I don't think that would be a good thing. First of all, he won't be a multi billionaire, and secondly, he would probably hire Rich Paul to be GM.
