At least that's what I'd do considering the limited market for Bledsoe.

It's a good offer for both sides. Even 10m isn't bad.

Then the Suns could go 4/44 for Dragic and have the best all around backcourt for under 30m...

Ilyasova isn't really a better stretch PF than Markieff. He shoots threes only when he's wide open just like Keef. He doesn't have the ability to shot from deep with a hand in his face like Frye or Anderson. Ilyasova is also more inconsistent than Channing was, he goes MIA for two months every season.

wtf? how could his comment be possibly construed as racist? He didn't say he was would work at a KFC.

"Bagging groceries" is simply a figure of speech. As it stands, Lebron has no more marketable skills at the end of the day other than being an athlete.

The point of the matter is, at the end of the day he will make hundreds of millions for bouncing a ball around...not to say he isn't entitled to whatever money he gets, but if someone complains about how much money they are making (as Sunsdeuce pointed out- something normal people do in their spare time; an activity many others do not have the opportunity to partake in) I will simply laugh.

When I was in my mid and early twenties I made 25-30k making/playing/teaching music...I told my friends that if I ever complained about how much I got paid to slap me across the face.

I'm not african american, but when I read his post coming to conclusion that african american athletes without high school education are limited to bagging groceries made me think that he was implying something racial.

Now, that’s just my first impression.
Had he mentioned that in a public forum or in front of the media, I can tell you many many more people will think he was being racist… intentional or not.

I found it mildly racist… and Im not your typical guy that is soft as butter, I can tolerate many things. But what he said I found offensive.

Congrats, but you're drunk if you think you're worth more than the 6.8 you were set to earn next season. Fine player, great person. Good luck. Don't act like you were done wrong by the Suns...you were rescued by the Suns (Steve Nash and Gentry).

What's significant about his comments are that McD only seems to care about the guys he's brought in, not the guys from the previous regime (Dragic, Morris twins, Marshall, Gortat, Brown, Johnson, Beasley). The only exception to this so far seems to be Tucker.

What makes you think that he doesn't care about Dragic or the Morris twins?

I'd trade Ennis for Ilyasova. That's one trade that does make us better, IMO. If not that, then something of Ennis-like value.

Do that and call it a day.

Bledsoe/Thomas
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
Tucker/Marcus/Warren
Markieff/Ilyasova
Plumlee/Len

I'm good with that. If Ilyasova can slot into the system in a similar role to Frye, I'd say that team is easily better than last year based on individual player improvements and replacing Ish with Thomas.

Not even close to racist. If you find 'bagging grocieries' racist the you're the one putting racism into the equation.

Tyler is kinda Kidd-like... just not the rebounded Kidd was. But then again, it was really the rebounding that made Jason what he was.

Ilya isn't old, he's only just turned 27. You could argue any PG with good PG skills and no shooting is kind "Kidd-like".

Yeah, for some reason I thought word was that Ily was actually older than reported... but I can't confirm with a 30 second search. So yeah, 27! Not old!

As to your second point, it's taken.

I was gonna say.......

I went away from the computer for a few hours, comeback to 3 new pages, and then i see this at the top of the Wiretap. Go through pages and no one says anything until the last post. wow.

Anyways, i dont like it, but hey, its already done. Looks like our team is basically set now. Im guessing we gave up on Love and all the other PF's we were rumored to be interested in. So Keiff looks like the starter and Toliver off the bench.

I dont like Toliver. Never have. never will. He just seems like the below average guy, nothing spectacular about his game, nothing flashy, nothing great, no potential, no real upside, just another body for practice.

Whatever. So be it.

Free agent Anthony Tolliver has reached agreement on a two-year, $6 million contract with the Phoenix Suns, league sources told RealGM.

His agent, Larry Fox, confirmed the deal on Tuesday night.

On the first day of free agency, every NBA general manager received a hard copy 20-page presentation highlighting Tolliver as the 15th best three-point shooter in the league, his 48.2 percent three-point percentage in the fourth quarter and his strong plus-minus ratios in his career. Tolliver and Fox scoured the free agent market for the best opportunity to play his most effective position as a stretch power forward and 13 teams expressed interest throughout the process.

In Phoenix, Tolliver helps fill the void left by the departure of Channing Frye and gives the Suns a positive veteran leader, proven shooter and member of the executive committee in the NBA players union. Tolliver averaged 6.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 41.3 percent from three-point range last season for the Charlotte Hornets.

“It’s a great opportunity for me,” Tolliver said by phone. “I went into this free agency and it worked out perfectly when Phoenix contacted my agent. With a great nucleus of young players, and the respect I have for Ryan [McDonough], Jeff Hornacek and the entire organization, it’s a perfect situation. For me, I want to go in there and help any way I can.

“The Suns are an up tempo team, and when I was with Golden State I had a similar style. I’m able to produce at a high level and this style compares to that Golden State team. I can play the three as well, but my natural position is four, rebounding, hitting open shots. The Suns made it clear I’m coming to play the four. Phoenix is a great city, a great family city.”

Tolliver, 29, has averaged 6.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in his six NBA seasons. He carved a shooting role as a stretch-four, but he’s played a majority of his minutes at small forward over the past few seasons. As a power forward, Tolliver had a 34-point performance and a 21-rebound game late in the 2011 season with the Golden State Warriors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards were in detailed discussions with Tolliver before his agreement with the Suns.

Gross... Tolliver? I'd much rather sign Blatche for the same amount. no matter how much of a headcase he is.

I'll just leave this here...

$3M/yr for Tolliver? Couldn't we have gotten Humphries at a similar price?

Usonis Haslem signed for less than Tolliver...

Well, at lest it puts to rest all our wrangling over a stretch 4. We got one! Truly, all he does is shoot 3's. I mean that very nearly literally. 4.8 FGA/G, 3.9 3PA/G. Wow. And 2.6 rebounds in 20 minutes. That's... kind of impressive. I mean you gotta run away from the ball to rebound that infrequently at 6'8".

Well, I like Tolliver at $3M per year much more than Frye or Ilyasova at $8M.

I'm fine with it. It's more options to help us space and the contract is favorable. I'd rather have Tolliver at 3 million a year than Frye at 8 million. Especially now that we've replaced Ish with the vastly superior Thomas.

Hopefully now we sign Bledsoe.
