Also, any time great players retire it hurts us as fans cause we see how special Kobe, Carter, Jordan, Shaq, Scalabrine, Lebron, Nash and etc are on court and believe nobody close to their level will ever come along and dominate how they did but that's not true and then we see great players like Westbrook, Harden, Durant and Davis and the cycle goes on and on.

I look at guys like Durant and I just don't see the competitive spirit that I see in LeBron or Kobe in him. I don't see the desire that these two had. Not saying he isn't great and a first ballot HOFer but I don't think he will be close to Kobe or LeBron's level. Just my guess, he's still incredibly young and could change.

If he had Westbrooks fire, that'd be something else.

So when Westbrook **** around with reporters it's funny/ok, but when Kieff doesn't wanna talk to them it's unacceptable? Ok.

Probably cause Westbrook did it after getting a triple double and because he's also a top 10 player in the league while Kieff isn't even top 20 or maybe not even top 40.

Westbrook has earned the right to act like a jackass. When Markieff becomes an All Star and All NBA player, he can do whatever he wants and I gurantee nobody will care.

And Westbrook actually talked to reporters and didn't ditch them without saying a word. Rules state that player just has to talk to the media, RW did that and Kieff did not.

Player accomplishments shouldn't matter, but that's how it is in the US, I guess.

In the US, if you follow the rules your good to go. Westbrook followed the rules by talking to the media and not ditching them. Kieff did not. There's no rule that says you have to answer the questions honestly or anything.

However if you do want leeway for something, you have to have earned it through accomplishments.

Westbrook talked to a reporter immediately after the game, like actually talking. Idk what happened from there to the locker room, but he was probably pissed about something. Regardless that kind of behavior is uncalled for.

Yes.

Charles Barkley use to talk a lot and throw tantrums, but he was an ELITE player so he can get away with it. He has proven his worth on the court.

Shaq too, Westbrook, Bryant, Lebron etc... if your performance talks louder than your attitude, its not as bad. Because the performance will always be the primary talking point.

The Morris twins have been yapping all season long... like I said.. when Markieff talked trashed about Caldwell-Pope to the media.. that was just wrong. I dont even hear any star players talk down a rookie player in the media. Its just lack of class.

He wouldn't improve by leaps and bounds each passing year if he wasn't super competitive. Yeah, he may be bad at showing it, but I have no doubt that he is competition-driven.

Anyone know what the hell happened between the Thunder and Reggie? Why are they on such bad terms, they don't wanna pay him this summer?

Westbrook can act like an ass to reporters because he's earned it and Markieff hasn't EARNED it yet?

Ummm. Nevermind. Don't wanna get banned.

Reggie Jackson is hot garbage. Wouldn't give him the MLE. The guy thinks he's Iverson with about a third the talent and toughness.

Yes, but Jackson's seen his named tossed back and forth between LA and NY... Bledsoe-ian expectations.

Embiid has a weight issue. Although the Sixers wouldn't disclose his weight, a source said he's close to 300 pounds after being 250 pounds at Kansas last season.

His work ethic is being questioned by some inside the organization.

And a blowup with assistant strength and conditioning coach James Davis is one of the reasons he was sent home during the team's recent West Coast road trip.
