Looks like the police department finally got something to stick. Officially charged.

How the **** is Markieff getting the same exact charge as his brother? Unbelievable.

Now things get interesting. The cops better have some good proof, or any good lawyer will get them off.

So can we void their contracts? :o

That ESPN report is still so vague. Near the end, it says that the twins were summoned to court, and warrants went out to the other three guys. It would be nice to get actual information other than these vague reports that still seem to have Hood and his girlfriend as the sole witnesses.

And of the 3 other guys only 1 really did anything. The cops screwed this up.

I hope the Suns can void their contracts. That would be great. Otherwise, their trade value is probably zero now. I doubt a team would want to absorb their contracts even without giving up anything. I knew the Suns should have traded these guys a long time ago. I always thought there was something wrong with them. Outside of the off the court issues, their play to me has always been so inconsistent that I never believed they were players to build around. Now the Suns are in a really tough spot. This sucks for the organization.

Nothing has happened yet, so we aren't in a tough spot at this time. As for inconsistent play, heck that is a ton of guys outside the top tiered players.

Heck, JR Smith killed his buddy, and he still catches on to teams, and no one talks about his off court bull.

I was blown away that J.R. Smith got away with that. That was insane. He should have gone to jail for what he did. It is amazing what athletes and celebrities get away with. Really is such a shame.

I did find this though: http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_ ... s-behavior Hopefully the Suns can make that clause work but who knows what will happen with anything when it comes to the NBA.

It would be ridiculous to void their contracts, but I doubt that's an option anyway. If we really wanted to trade them, we could (at least Kieff). These things are news for a week or two and then people forget about them.

That, and some of the other stuff you've posted is making it sound to me (a total legal amateur, I'm a research mathematician I don't know **** about the law) like a competent lawyer could rip them apart.

Oh wait, this is Maricopa County Law enforcement, of **** course they're going to screw up a slam dunk case. How do you guys who still live in Arizona keep re-electing Sheriff Joe? Unreal.

The problem is that there isn't any evidence that can really support any claim that the twins and their lawyer try to make. I'm not sure what they are supposed to do.

And yes, you are spot on. I live with one of the 2 primary witnesses, and a few months ago he had an hour long phone conversation with a detective. He told me that the detective seemed very eager to nail them as hard as possible. The detective was responding to the witnesses statements harshly, putting the twins in very bad light. I didn't listen to the call but immediately after he told me that he thinks they want to take this as far as possible just because it is a high profile case.

Sheriff Joe has his own legal issues.

Twins trade value must be in the negative now. No point giving up assets to trade them.

There has to be SOMETHING in an NBA contract that involves felonies in order to protect teams. I would be absolutely shocked if there wasn't. Of course, it would have to go to court first and all that.

Regardless of whatever happens, this past year has been such a black eye on the Suns organization. Starting with that long drawn out Bledsoe negotiation. Then Tucker's super extreme DUI. Goodwin had that brush up with the law in his hometown even though it was eventually thrown out. The three point guard lineup never worked out the way anyone wanted. The team's crazy technical foul problem. Tucker missing the team bus twice. Marcus Morris' psychotic breakdown on Hornacek. Plumlee asking for a trade. Dragic publicly destroying the organization. There was lots of roster turnover. Markieff and Marcus calling out the fans after arguably the worst performance in Suns history. Goodwin complaining that no one knows their roles. Hornacek bad mouthing Green only to have Green's agent rebut his statements. Suns finish the season with their worst ever close to a season (1-10). Now the Morris brothers have officially been charged with felony aggravated assault. Did I miss anything? This has been a forgettable season to say the least. What a disgrace.

I think their trade value is not negative, even at this point. With the cap rising fast I think we can trade them for a veteran frontcourt player.
Someone like Taj Gibson or David West and a decent pick.

Think positive. Next season most likely will be better 8-)

It doesn't seem too forgettable, when the negative Nancys bring up every bad thing in every thread as many times as they can. :D

Hey, let's not forget about all those buzzer beater-game winning shots that other teams had against Suns this season! :P

Seems every hour on the hour, someone is bringing up the full timeline of all our mishaps from the very beginning. You know, in case we've all been living under a rock the past year :banghead:
