I wonder if Bosh hadn't got those blood clots if Lebron/Wade/Bosh/Whiteside could overthrow the Warriors? Or are the Cavs a superior team than those Heat team?
Hoping Warriors at least lose some of their bench this offseason but I have a feeling Livingston might stay. Iggy and McGee will likely go elsewhere when they see that money.
And lastly, just for fun, three team trade to help the Cavs.Spoiler:
The Heat were a super team but not a great fit together. Often times Wade or Lebron were forced to float around and watch the other and they still had problems with teams like Indiana, Dallas and San Antonio. Not only is GS stacked but they all mesh perfectly. I'm guessing veteran ring chasers will flock there to play for the minimum.
Everyone is hating on them but if it were the Suns none of us would have a problem with it.

Bledsoe is probably a victim of our W-L record.
If he plays on a 50 win team he'd be untouchable averaging 21-6-5.

I think the value might be closer if you just remove Bledsoe. Maybe add TJ and the #12 to the deal instead.
... But truly, we wouldn't do that to Tyson.

He's a good player that is ideal to be 3rd fiddle like Kevin Love is.

Trade Bledsoe to a potential superteam to atleast compete with the west top 3.

If we trade Bled for picks and take no salary in return....count on a max offer and hard play for Hayward. I dont buy anything is in stone with where he is going. So many just sign him off to Boston if he moves.... but not me. I wonder how much he really likes Utah. Heck I wonder if keeping Bled makes him more likely to come. We'll be torturously in the mix regardless.
Either way, it wont suck to keep Bled on. Its the most sure bet McDo has on his plate, knees or no knees.

I don't think either team would do that.

Bledsoe has his moments and can be very good, and can do a lot of things, and perhaps he is underrated by some here, but he is overrated by some as well. He falls on the wrong side of the chart here...

Being in his prime, with likely a limited window, and an impending contract in a couple of years, while we have a bunch of raw young guys, he just doesn't make a ton of sense to keep, and his value is as high as it will ever be likely, so it probably makes sense to deal him if you get the right offer.

That's a pretty solid take and mine as well. The timeline for Eric and the team just don't match up. I don't agree that we should try and get 3 lottery picks like some posters are suggesting. I could be interested in adding another high value lotto pick this year but I'm also fine with selecting #4 and #32 and moving Bledsoe for a young player and future pick.

It wouldn't be a summer without the Suns drafting a Kentucky guard and losing out on the top FA!

I think hayward stays in utah. Thats a good up and coming team.
I could see the suns having interest in Drummond defending on the price. He has his faults but he certainly can rebound and with the young core they have thats a weakness. He also fits the age range and is locked up long term. 22 mil a year is a little much but its manageable.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

We could sign Hayward, Bledsoe could stay healthy, and we could snag Drummond for Knight/Len and a Miami pick in addition to drafting whoever becomes the rookie of the year.
Bledsoe/Ulis
Booker/ROY
Hayward/TJ
Chris/Bender
Drummond/Chandler
We'd still get DESTROYED by GSW.

Sure but that would be the case even if we drafted and acquired players that 5 years down the road might be even better than Durant or Curry are today. We have to start building towards something even if today's ceiling falls short of our ultimate goals. I'd pass on going this way because I have doubts about value but not because it isn't enough to get us over the hump.

Am I reading this right? Is Harden on the 'good defense' side? That would negate any credibility this chart has, wouldn't it?

Stein reported Heat may be in play for Hayward. The 2018 pick may lose a lot of value after this summer.

If the GSW sweep I think that helps the 2020 case that we seem to have adopted.

Patience. The Heat take shortcuts. Sometimes it works. But it could just as easily cause them to end up with an overpriced, broken down roster that ends up in turmoil at just the wrong time. They're going to pay Dion Waiters and James Johnson this summer. Dragic's up there in age. Whiteside is weak mentally. They did better than I expected this last year, but because they don't have a steady stream of improving young talent to build on, all it's gonna take is one or two things going wrong for that ship to hit a reef. But they could also continue to cruise. You just can't know.

Simply not true. Father time is undefeated. Durant at 33 will not be the player he is today. Same for the rest of the roster. Building for 5 years from now is EXACTLY what we should be doing.
