Great win! I guess following the template of pushing the pace, gang rebounding and driving to the rim more actually works! Great outlier game ( perfect timing) from Shamet and Ayton too. Relieved we won and made it a series again, but still have to wonder if we wouldn't have been up 3-1 if it didn't take a desperate situation for Monty to try and play Ross and Warren. To Monty's credit! Tonight he was more assertive with his timeouts and roster rotations. All that's needed this offseason now is to upgrade the assistant coaches bench for better high level support for him.

And find creative ways to upgrade a few spots on the bench!

Jokic should not be suspended

It was nothing

Nothing, but ironically worse than what amare and diaw did...

Especially Diaw. Amare got to close to half court

Diaw was barely on the court at the coaches box

That said - don’t suspend Joker

Do you think we're a better team with Payne? CP3 is sooooo slow it hurts our two stars letting the defence get set.

No doubt we miss CP3's shotmaking down the stretch (when he's hitting them), but I wouldn't mind seeing us continue to start Payne even if CP3 is back.

He should absolutely be suspended. They won't do it as Silver is softer than what many of you claim Ayton to be.

If this was David Stern's NBA, he'd miss game 5. Justifiably so.

amre and diawa suspensions were wrong and so would be one for jokic

CP3 may be more effective coming off the bench as a 6th man, but I doubt Monty will do that.

Nba shouldn't pick and choose how they enforce the rules. If it was a strict letter of the law when it happened to us then be consistent with it.

I guarantee you if Book did that to anothers team owner he would've been ejected and suspended

That’s what I think should happen if Paul is healthy . Bring him off bench

i don't care if ayton has only 8 pts like tonight. it was stellar what he has done at the end. the and 1 and the defense won us the game. you have to do every small play to grind out games like this.

The way the rule is written he absolutely should be suspended. It wasn't a live play so the continuation of play clause shouldn't apply. That said, the NBA suspending the 2 time MVP in this scenario may be shaky. If it was MPJ or somebody I think he'd absolutely be suspended.

Shamet finally showed up. If we get this version of him Denver cannot defend us.

So to beat Denver in Denver, and offset the super physical aggressive play they'll utilize against us, We'll need to continue pushing the pace as a fastbreak team that runs after every rebound, steal etc because Denver simply doesn't have the elite defenders to get back and stop us on the break! They Especially don't have anyone who can't stop Durant and Booker downhill.

We'll also have to play physical again and really fight with everything we've got! We need to treat this game as our game 7! Really the next two games are do or die for us! So leave it all out there on the court! One wish I could make is for the refs to quit heavily favoring Denver giving them all the calls in the world and Jokic getting the Doncic BIOTCH CALLS for just moving in any direction! Ayton and Shamet need to get all the support the fans can give them. Ross and Warren too to get them even more fired up and confident!

(Mike Malone talking to the other Nuggets coaches after the game)!!

On to game 5!

That last line is the thing I hate most about the nba. I hate that "stars" are treated differently. Jokic shoved landale in the back and nothing was called because Landale is a nobody as far as the league is concerned. The reverse and it's an And 1 for Jokic

BTW, MPJ has been playing really bad for them.

That play when he shot a three in transition was crazy, they had momentum and we were a bit nervous... and he shot an airball.

He is playing worse than Ayton in the series and he is a max player too.

Jokic, I enjoyed your performance, but I didn’t appreciate the elbow to my fellow Spartan and Suns Owner Mat Ishbia lol

Pretty sure Ayton got a hand on the ball

As for Ayton - it’s just effort we want to see. Positive things happen

We got a series ….. a year ago at this time heard the Suns in four chant ; this Nugs in 4

Oh what a difference two games makes

Just hope Sham Ross Jock and TJ play the minutes

Ishbia helping Okogie get up and Jokic enters the crowd.

Then swipes the ball and elbows Ishbia in the throat.

I don't know if he should be suspended, Maybe??? I say this because he was in no way part of the play, and he chose to coming running over there and getting involved on a dead ball inbound and then elbowed a fan ( as far as he knows). I'd like him to play so if we win, the nuggets don't have any easy excuses!! But his getting involved by choice and then being unsportsmanlike is absolutely not much ado about nothing. Again he wasn't even in the play or near it. It was an inbounds situation that in no way required his involvement.

But he ran over to insert himself in the situation and then elbowed a bystander (owner or not). The fan got ejected for nothing more than touching Jokic's arm briefly. But Jokic ELBOWS Ishbia and knocks him back. What valid reason constitutes Jokic doing that at all. I'm not saying he needs to be suspended, even though the rules are fairly clear and should be equal across the board for equity. At the very least he should be fined pretty heavily! There should be no unsupervised or unauthorized interaction between fans, owners or whomever is in attendance. :nonono:
