Suns should bring him to camp.

I mean he's got a really nice offensive game for sure. But obviously he's no Booker! Hyperbole aside, I wouldn't mind him on our bench in more of a Dragic/ Bogdanovic type of smooth scoring role perhaps. By the way, Whose saying he's the next Booker though? I haven't seen anything on this yet man? He's definitely intriguing though!

The 3rd year is an important one for players and often when we see a leap if they are a star. Look at Booker, after his second season his numbers wouldn't have indicated he was some no brainier max guy but he took a step in year 3 and even then some nationally questioned if he was really worth a max.

Bridges is going to be a super interesting extension case. Chances are he's not going to have numbers that scream big extension but I also don't think it's a secret that he's good and impactful. I think he ends up with a pretty big contract.

RAPTOR has Ayton worth a little less than 5/$105 and Bridges worth 5/$110

If that's what both guys are commanding, there might be a tough decision to be made. Given who our owner is, I imagine we know what direction we're going to go.

Those are not big enough to where one has to go. Combined, per year, they would be less than Paul's last year, or close to it.

If they had to decide I'd be surprised if they didn't choose Bridges (though I guess it depends on how they progress), especially with the Jalen Smith pick.

But no way they let either go...if anything, they would probably use Ayton in a trade.

He's young with skills but when he makes a mistake he sometimes lets it get into his head and compounds the mistakes. Has trouble moving on from mistakes.

However, given his age, I think he has a quite a bit of upside still yet. He has a pretty good ast/to ratio, and it was really good to start last season until he started making mistakes and getting yanked quickly. He can get to the rim, stick with his man on D, and can hit 3s. He also has a nice wingspan for a guard.

I'm not surprised Nash may have wanted him, and learning under Nash and D'Antoni will be good for him.

A lot of Suns fans hate him though, because when you see a boneheaded mistake, and then you see another one and another one, it kind of erases any memory of positive things he did before.

https://arizonasports.com/story/2465362/suns-sign-big-johnathan-motley-make-3-other-signings-official/

Yahoo! Sports’ Keith Smith reported that Motley’s deal is a training camp contract, but from a numbers perspective the three-time All-G League forward could have a chance to make Phoenix’s roster for the 2020-21 season.

For the Agua Caliente Clippers last year, the 25-year-old Motley averaged 24.0 points on 51.7% shooting.

Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) Tweeted:
Per league sources: The Phoenix Suns have signed Johnathan Motley to a camp contract.

Wow that’s crazy. After choosing him over Bridges just few years ago, he’s not waived?? Damn.

One of the very few good moves McDonough made.

Good assessment. Good signing and someone who a change of scenery could be good for. I still think there's a chance he's a rotation bench guard.

I'd describe Okobo who wasn't really terrible at anything but also didn't really flash any particular skill either. Just kind of meh at everything if that makes sense.

Training and pickup games, there are several. One with SGA and some ballers and another with Hachimura and some dudes.

It's crazy that he has only played in 13 games in two seasons in the league.
He broke his foot and probably he hasn't recovered well.

Also just want to add that I felt like he was very often misused. He can pass but playing PG isn't really what he's good at but we've been trying to force him into a team playmaking role. When he's good, it's when he's focused on scoring, getting to the rim and in those scenarios, he becomes a better passer.

If teams play him in that combo guard role rather than forcing him into a point guard role, I think he can stick on an NBA team. It wasn't wrong to try and give him opportunities at the PG spot but I think it was clear that it's just not his game.
