Warriors fans offered Thompson, Barnes, and Lee for Love and Martin. The Cavs rumored package was the number 1 pick in the past draft, TT and Waiters. Both better offers than mid protected firsts.

First of all, Warriors would never make that trade imo. And picks in Cavs' offer were from '13 Draft.Come on.I believe that mid picks of this year are better than top 10 picks of last year.(Exceptions are not included)

That cavs package is a joke. They drafted their way out of value in that one.

You are overrating this draft then.

Lol. Okay.
Just because a fan offers Barnes/Thompson/Lee for Love/Martin doesn't mean the GM's will. I could make a ridiculous offer of Bledsoe/Dragic/Plumlee/Len 5 1st Rounders for Love, does that mean you're gonna post on other team's forums saying well the Phoenix Suns fans offered such and such, so now you guys have to up your ante.
I would easily take Thompson/Barnes/Lee over Love and Martin, and there is no way the Warriors GM would give up all their assets just to give Curry some Love.
Cavs probably made an offer close to that and then realized they are giving up way too much as well.
You're not going to get equal value for Love, one team is gonna get shafted.

So apparently something only matters to you as long as it benefits your team. Everything anyone else says is BS. It must be pure coincidence that the Suns-Wolves poll on the trade board has more people voting bad for Minnesota.

You aren't going to get Love unless you offer up more.
End of discussion.

There won't be many teams offering up a ton for 18 month rental for Love. No guarantee of signing, no big assets.

And I'm glad that is the end of the discussion, or does that mean that Matt won't type anymore here?

I didn't realize you were the GM of the Wolves, or the spokesperson.

uh... uh...

Isn't this a place to exchange ideas... opinions... viewpoints... ????

Post on MattyMatt.

Shame on you 'locals' trying to run someone off. His points are as valid as yours... for they are all speculative.

BTW... I could see Barnes, Lee, and a pick as being a better offer than what we have. Remember, if the wolves trade Love this season, they are almost certain to retain their own lotto pick this yr. If we trade for Love this season, it would be almost certain that 'their' pick would not be part of the package... so we are talking about Washington's pick as being the best one of the bunch for this yr. LA's next yr pick is probably our most valuable one, in the eyes of Minnesota.

Also, if we trade the Mo Bros (or Len) and Oka4, we likely will have to take some salary back as the wolves are very close to the lux tax. I would think it might be an opportunity for them to sluff off some salary, though who, I am unsure. Kevin Martin ? Chase Bud? Corey Brewer ? They inked 3 or 4 guys to some 3-4 yr deals. May be Turiaff ? and we toss in Len ? :dontknow:

I really don't see much of a deal/chance here. If I was running the Wolves' show, I'd wait it out, even if Love was crying to leave, he can't walk till the summer of 2015.... They'll have plenty of opportunities to deal him up till the deadline next yr. A lot can happen between now and then.

If Minnesota lays an egg this yr, they keep their pick... and could still trade Love. If he is dangled to the top pickers, somebody is going to take notice.... Suppose Denver offered the 6th pick (knicks) + a player or two for KLove ? That would easily trump whatever we could offer now, and likely then. Something like that could easily happen.

If I am Minny, I am in no hurry what so ever. And if I am Phnx... I realize we have no shot at trading for Love this off season, without gutting this team. A bucket of mid to late picks just doesn't hold water.

If we are going to get some Love this yr.... I think its going to have to be a three-way :eyebrows:

Yeah, despite there not being a chance of that ever, ever to happen I jokingly posted that a while ago too. He would be the single most perfect player for us. This kid is gonna be so good.

I don't care about sharing viewpoints, that's great. But all he continues to say is how other teams have better offers, and us, as fans need to ante up for a better bid on Love.

Barnes/Lee and picks is a fair deal for both teams. but Barnes/Lee, picks AND Thompson is overkill. No way Warriors do that.

I wouldn't have to repeat what I said if certain posters would stop and actually read what I have to say instead of just repeating how Love is overrated?

This is what a fan offered. In real life the rumored Cavs trade that was declined by the Wolves was Number 1 pick, Waiters, Thompson and filler. We turned that down and it looked like the right move since Love has only improved his value since then.

Nope I'm still here waiting for you to actually offer up some value. If other teams fans can do it, I don't know why it would be so hard for some in here.

I didn't offer anything for him, don't really care about him. He will either stay put, or demand a trade. If he demands a trade, the Wolves will most likely take the best deal offered. If he doesn't agree to stay, it wouldn't be too much.

But who cares, we don't make or accept the deals, so stop acting like you are important.
