Jeez apparently other people see the value in Frye too. Thank goodness.

I'm one of the few that thinks we are one big C or PF away from having a 55-58 win team.

Yeah he does. I love Frye but I don't think we need to go grabbing our ankles for him. Kieff turned out a bad ass year. If Frye were to leave, I think Kieff can spend time upgrading his 3 ball for next year. I know he tore it up by taking a break from shooting the longball but he's still young and can find that range. Plus he's so much better at putting it on the floor than Frye. It wouldn't be the worst idea to renounce Frye's rights and send Horny to the gym asap with Kieff to perfect that shot with more regularity.

Since I don't like the free agents available, I'd like to see us use the cap space to take back salary in trades. They can be good contracts or bad, if they're coupled with assets. I'd jut rather give time to Len than Pau, to TJ than Deng.

Looks like Tucker is gone.

I am getting the sense that the Suns have learned that someone is going to offer Bledsoe a max or near max contract (Dallas?) and they really were hoping to scare such teams away with the "we will match all offers" comments. They are now floating s&t ideas to see if they stir up some other options.

I am a bit concerned about such wholesale changes for next year. Losing Frye, Bledsoe, and Tucker would have great impact on chemistry, but we have not actually built our team yet. If Houston wants to move Harden in order to go after Carmelo and LeBron, then Bledsoe might be a good option. I don't know. Its getting a bit scary.

I have faith in McD, but somethings things get out of your control.

I like Pau, but I agree about Deng. I think Len needs a few more years. Doug Franz was talking about he'd give Gasol a two year deal; I think that would be perfect. But If we can't get Pau, I am okay with running with the same team minus Tucker plus Ennis and Warren.

Is Spencer Hawes a FA this year?

One interesting thing to note is that 3 teams who have cap room to give the max to Bledsoe passed on guards.

The Mavs trade away the young Larkin and Calderon.

The Magic had their choosing of whichever PG they want and they passed to reach for a PF.

The Lakers also could have went with a PG and passed to go with a PF.

All 3 of these teams will be looking for a good PG to pair with their PFs (Dirk, Gordon, Randle).

I think we could if we could get a great rebounding and defensive rim protecting center and we could get more 2nd chance points. But that could be Plumlee considering he averaged like 11.5 reb and 1.6 blocks per 36 as basically a rookie. What if he takes another significant step?

If Plumlee were to take a big step forward and we stayed healthy all year with the same chemistry, we could potentially do it since we were on a 55 win pace with Bledsoe anyway. I understand that was with almost every western conference playoff team dealing with significant injuries too (plus LAL, DEN and NOP), which is why Plumlee would have to improve big time to have a chance at that. Unfortunately the west will be even tougher next season.

Yes, and I think he'd be perfect for our system and a good rotation guy. Frye plays with Plumlee but Hawes could spread the floor if needed with Kieff.

Or if we lose Frye, Hawes would be a guy to look at as a replacement at reasonable cost.

The Magic got Elfrid Payton....traded Saric to Philly for him. The thing about the Lakers is how much cap space they want to have in 2015. I don't think if they sign Bledsoe to a big contract, sign Randle and anyone else for longer than a year, they could offer Love a max deal. But I guess if they only sign everyone else to one year deals or take guys like Thaddeus Young who expires next year, than they could do it.

I don't think getting Randle would impact trying to go for Love, but I guess you could look at it that way.

They may just sign Bledsoe and then REALLY go heavily after LeBron this summer and next (if he stays in Miami one more year). If they wanted LeBron AND Bledsoe this summer though, they'd have to get rid of Nash.

But we'd match anyway. Not sure what LAL could/would offer in a S&T...Randle? Not enough.

Nowhere close, he averaged 7.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks a game last year. He was putting up beastly numbers at the beginning of the season because he came out of nowhere, but he came back down to earth pretty quickly. The Suns had a good defensive big who was a great rim protector. He ran the floor well and had good chemistry with Goran Dragic, its a shame we didn't hang on to Robin Lopez, but hopefully Alex Len will take a big step like Rolo did in his 2nd year and turn into that guy...

Sorry I meant per 36, so if he played big time starter minutes, maybe he puts up those types of numbers last year. Will edit. (and I guess it was 1.6 blocks per 36..had looked at this a while back and realized with big minutes, his numbers would have looked decent, at least for rebounding).

Tucker took a pay cut to come to the Suns in the first place. I have no problem with him getting what he can, and if it's reasonable the Suns have matching rights.
