Don't know how I feel about Lebron after that one and Bledsoe. Obvious they are talking and Bledsoe is talking mad trash about Phoenix. Trade his ass.

Re: Offseason Thread 6: The Not So Mexican Stand-off Continu
I find LBJ's message highly encouraging. I still think a happy Bledsoe on this roster would be best. If it's all about money - well, hopefully we can get close enough. Under no circumstances should we give him 5 years, but I don't mind being generous to make this thing work.
I think the problem at this point is that we've won the negotiation, and Paul's only move at this point is to threaten a kamikaze QO to get his client anywhere close to what he should have gotten in the first place - $63/4. We probably aren't willing to just give up what we've legitimately gained in the discussion. But I'd give a final offer of $56/4...
... I just really don't want that **** to QO. It would be stupid, sure, but it appears his agent is, in fact, stupid. It would be bad for both sides. It may take an awful lot of humility for us to resolve this in a way that is beneficial to our team.
... ... How much do we like Tyler Ennis?

Re: Offseason Thread 6: The Not So Mexican Stand-off Continu
I wish everyone would stop getting so emotional about this. It's basketball. It's about winning games, not a popularity contest (unless we're talking about stomping on a homeless guy's head or beating your girlfriend, in which case, I can't ignore the player for the jersey). It's Eric who ultimately suffers from failing to accrue goodwill with fans. Everyone needs to chill.

HE is trying to create a face saving opportunity for that idiot he calls an agent.
Someone has to.... not like he is actually going to take the Q.O. So not they can say they decided to negotiate because they were finally invited, even though they were invited several times starting months ago!!!
Yes! It is nice to have a big brother like LeBron who can make everything right in the B-Ball world, especially when you selected his good buddy (Paul) for your incompetent agent.
Assuming it breaks the ice, lets hope they come to PHX and get a deal worked out. Sounds like this remains a possibility.

I agree with what you're saying and I think the Suns have had an open invite to negotiate. It never seemed like they were stuck at 4/48. Hopefully this is LeBron's way of saying get a deal done in PHX, but we'll never know and we do not know how much objective info he has about the situation.
His agent can save face by getting a deal done above the 4/48 if he sits down to negotiate, but he has to come off the 5/84 mark.

He means pay him. I honestly can't wait for a lebronless NBA. I'm so sick of this dude having the entire league under his control.
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

I could not have said it better. The dude has been babied since he was in middle school. Basically born with a silver spoon in his month and forced feed by the nba on everyone.

LeAgent. Last trump card played by Rich Paul and company. This reeks of desperation, nothing else.

Hopefully it's a message to push the two sides to get together soon. Regardless though, it's a somewhat off the cuff remark about them meeting, that's it. By some of these reactions you'd think those three words were like him taunting McD's wife/kids/neighb/franchise/city/etc.
I guess that just means it's been a frustrating offseason.

If true, that's kind of dumb. It wouldn't have hurt him to wait until the deadline, unless his only motivation is to get the hell out of Detroit.

^ big mistake. Monroe is not better than Markieff or Plumlee for his worth. No thank you. He is not good for our system.

Regardless of what "break bread" means--whether it means sit down and break bread together or pay the man, it does not say "he is taking the QO."
I am not sure that taking the QO is truly on the table for him. 4/54 and be done.

Still don't think Suns should raise their offer at all. Leave it what it's at. Do no give in. If he wants to take the QO, who cares.

Re: Offseason Thread 6: The Not So Mexican Stand-off Continu
If Bledsoe didn't want to play here, LeBron wouldn't say anything about how we should re-sign him. You guys can deny it, but both sides are being uncooperative. The Suns aren't changing their offer even in the slightest manner so of course there aren't going to be negotiations.
