Couldn't agree more! Those darn Americans and their "instant gratification" tendencies! Good thing I'm not like that! (While I scream at my laptop because the page took 4 seconds to load
Seriously though, as hard as it is to be patient, we all do need to remember we are all of, what, 20 months removed from a 25-57 record. And since then, we have 4 1st Rd picks that need some time to develop, and 1 we are waiting a year or two for. And have you noticed they are at the 1, 2, 3, and 5 positions, with our 4 being a 2011 1st Rd pick. Granted, Goodwin may take another 1+ year and Ennis is 4th on the depth chart, but Len and TJ have some serious potential to hit big by next season. And Goodwin and Ennis may be ready to start by 2016, depending on Dragic/EB/IT's situation by then; but the point is, Goodwin was a project through and through, but he arguably has the highest ceiling of all the guys, but also the lowest floor.
I'd really like to see those guys get a chance to develop, and give Kieff a full year starting at the 4 to see if he can be a viable starter for the long term. I would never turn down an "Ibaka-level" 4 to bring in, but outside of an Ibaka, Love, etc. type of PF, I'm really not interested in what may be a slight upgrade to Kieff, or bringing in a Hibbert type of 5 that will just stunt Len's opportunities.
And if we end up drafting 13th or 14th again, I'm ok with that. Warren fell to us and he has a good chance to be a top NBA SF. Who knows what we might be able to get around that area again...or heck, a 14 and maybe the Lakers 7th or 8th pick may be enough to move us up to a top 5 pick again.
