So rather than trade him...they suspend him which likely decreases his trade value some more

Oh well, glad we won't have to see this ***** moping on the court for at least two games.

I can't even find a string of thought as to why the Magic would make this kind of deal. They'd laugh us off the phone. But the Suns would love this trade. :D

Just now on the radio Paul Coro says he was suspended without pay.

How does this decrease his trade value, please explain? Teams around the league know the situation going on with Kieff already, I don't think this changes anything.

Watch the Suns end up having to give up an actual 1st rd pick just to dump him. Lmao this is actually getting kinda funny.

Was just going to post this tweet. Was on the Boston board discussing a Bledsoe for Smart/Olynyk/pick trade and saw it. Nice work McD. Everyone talks about how he wins every trade, but even in Pelton's chat a few weeks ago, someone asked him if the IT for Cleveland pick was the worst recent trade and he said "Depending on what happens with that Lakers pick, I don't even know if it was the worst trade at the trade deadline, by the same team."

Add the roster assembled leading to disgruntled Dragic and disgruntled Kieff destroying two seasons, and I'm not sure I can say he makes real smart moves other than making good draft picks. The Bledsoe trade wasn't even his idea. Someone else came up with it iirc.

I know you, Puff, JMac, Saber, ginobiliflops and a few others think the entire blame lies on Hornacek (or most of it anyway), but the people above him certainly haven't made things easy for him.

I predicted to you guys in my "Suns are in a Pickle" thread that we would have to attach an asset to Markieff if we wanted to trade him for something of value coming back. I don't consider Archie much of an asset, so I would use him as a filler if necessary to move Kieff.

I don't think the entire blame lies with him, I've said he deserves a majority of the blame. That said, yes McD isn't perfect in my eyes and he's made a ton of dumbass decisions.

He gave away that Laker pick like nothing, and he wasn't even the one who obtained that Laker pick in the first place, it was Blanks who got it for us.

Trust me, I wouldn't care if both McD and Hornacek got the axe together.

Getting rid of Hornacek isn't gonna fix everything but IMO it's one of the things that needs to be fixed along with many, many others.

From Celtics fan:
aim2please wrote:Btw, overreactions from Suns fans need to stop. I understand your frustration but trading Bledsoe and Knight makes zero sense. All those picks or young prospects you're gonna get for them, guess what, odds are they're not gonna be as good as those two. And btw, they're on a good long term deals. Build around them.

I've watched Suns quite a bit this year and IMO main problem is the coach. This is second year in a row where he completely lost control and half of the team is unhappy. Last night he played Price, Knight AND Bledsoe for long stretches just to prove a point. His two centers, Len and Tyson, played around 20 minutes combined. Denver played Faried at center and Suns couldn't take advantage of it. It's just bad coaching.

Hornicek is like a teacher who can't control kids in classroom then acts like a tough guy which only makes kids to tune out. There is no discipline on that team. Two guard can do whatever they want because they're not held accountable. Chandler, elite roll man, looks like a scrub because guards are just looking for their shot. Put a guy like Thibs on that team and things would be a lot different on both sides of the floor.

I'd say the main problem is clearly the GM who assembled this mess of a roster and who refuses to get Kieff off the team. Horny will probably get fired as the GM is going to try and save his own job, but that would be a mistake and not get to the root of the problem.

Fair enough, GM clearly made some questionable moves - like signing 3 starting level PG last season - but you can't dispute that he made a lot of good moves. Look at the roster he inherited and look at it now. They have a plethora of picks in their bag plus a young roster.

Getting Bled for Dudley could be the best trade in last couple of years. Even Dragic trade was a clear win for them value-wise. Two unprotected 1st from an aging team versus paying 85 million for aging PG with season and a half of good play under his belt. Drafting has been solid as well.

I would like to hear Suns' fans prospective on this. I think you could do much worse than McD as your GM. I can't think of many coaches who are worse than Hornacek.

Agree with all of this (except I don't want Thibs)

Hey aren't y'all still paying Josh Smith?

Man I wish we could send Kieff to Detroit so he could team up with Marcus and destroy the Pistons like they did the Suns...

I do not know why many people think McDonough wins all his trades. I judge trades based on individual success as well as team success.

The Bledsoe trade. Did the Suns really win it? Gonna most likely be three straight years without the playoffs and some people want Bledsoe off the team now (including me) because of his garbage attitude. The Clippers seem just fine without Bledsoe. Jared Dudley has been on a couple of playoff teams since the trade. Dudley is all heart and Bledsoe takes games off.

The Knight trade. I would love a do-over of that trade so the Suns can keep that Lakers pick. Seems like an awful trade to me at the moment. Not to mention but they gave Knight 70 million dollars and he appears no better than Gerald Green. Cannot defend, is totally out of control, is a poor ball handler, a turnover machine, and is either super hot or super cold. At least Green was exciting to watch with his dunks. And I loved Green's attitude.

The Thomas trade. Suns get Cleveland's 2016 first round pick. Probably gonna be in the 25-30 range. Boston got Thomas who propelled them to the playoffs and still plays well for them. I do not like him as a player but statistically the Suns sold extremely low on him.

The Dragic trade. Whatever. No win situation with that one and the Suns got the best package they could under the circumstances.

The Gortat trade. This is the worst trade of them all that no one ever talks about. Talk about dumping a player that had some serious value. You wanna get rid of Gortat? Fine. But do not throw him away for Emeka Okafor's contract and a non-lottery pick. HORRIBLE TRADE.

Those are the big ones I can think of. He made some good trades that were smaller but so far McDonough's blockbuster trades have not been wins. Far from it in my opinion.

We already know that genius. Chandler was supposed to entice LMA and help be a leader in the locker room. He hasn't done much due to his injury and our coach being clueless as usual.

What did I say in the offseason about Markieff? Something like I would trade him for a box of cereal. I think that was it. Well he cannnot even get you that anymore. Well maybe he could. As long as the cereal is expired and about to be thrown out. But you still have to pay for it though.

Alot of people here owe you an apology. You got picked on for your hate for the Morris twins but looks like you were right the whole way.

That's why I thought we should have got rid of him as soon as he started demanding a trade on Twitter and stuff.

That was the highest his trade value has ever been. It's been tanking ever since over the last couple weeks.
