You know, thinking about it, if Okafor really is on the table, I can't imagine Boston doesn't trade for him. They don't have a quality center at all. Now you could argue we don't either, and right now we really don't, but at least they can do some things well, like rebound, and Len has shown a nice ability to pass as well.

Boston's centers, on the other hand:

Amir Johnson - 7.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.1 bpg (no one else on their team averages more than like .6 bpg)
Kelly Olynyk - 10 ppg, 4.1 rpg
Tyler Zeller - 6.1 ppg, 3 rpg

I can't see the Sixers trading to a divisional rival and playing against Okafor 4 times a year for the next half decade. Only way possible IMO, is if the Sixers were really in love with only one prospect, let's say Dunn and Celtics draft him. Then I could see a trade happening as soon as that pick is made during the draft. However, if the Celtics were in interested in multiple players than I think they would rather deal with us.

Can't imagine Stevens wanting an old school post-up big who doesn't defend/protect the rim and is a mediocre rebounder for the 3rd pick.

Sixers are not trading both Noel and Okafor. Just one. I guess its Okafor.
Sixers fan since 2001. From Russia.

Stevens is a magician. If anyone can get Okafor to play serviceable defense, it's Stevens. Not to mention you could get a defensive big later in the draft to cover him up.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I dont buy that's it's that easy to "cover it up". You can't coach defensive instincts like that and finding a player means you're looking for a player who can protect the rim and stretch the floor. That's like the NBA unicorn.

And yet, there are like 13 players in this draft that are being described as exactly that. Defense isn't about instinct, it's about want-to. Jah doesn't need to be a shot blocker to protect the rim, he needs to get into positions and be big. Stevens has been getting the most out of his players, and most of them aren't as talented as Jah. Jah'll become a great player in Boston.

In this weak draft? #14-#30

Reasoning? Any playoff team could consider adding a seasoned/solid role player in exchange for a draft pick that probably won't get much burn in important games.

But I honestly wouldn't trade him for that. We need some vets on this team.

Question: What other popular forms do some of your guys visit for Suns chat?

Any of these forums have insiders or steal our former insiders?

No way is PJ worth a first rounder. One year left on his deal. Two second rounders, IMO.

The only shelter these "insiders" had was this forum. .net and ASFN would chew them up and send them back to chad ford land.

Philly wants another top 5 pick and backcourt help.

PHI gets: #4, Knight

Chicago would presumably want young high ceiling talent and picks to build around if they do choose to move on from Butler.

CHI gets: Okafor, Warren, #13, #28

Phoenix wants a star.

PHX gets: Butler
