I'm in as long as I get the first pick in the draft
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Sweet let's get this puppy rolling then!

I reckon go with ESPN, the new Yahoo app sucks. ESPN's one actually isn't too bad after about 8 yrs with no updating...

We'll just ask Batsmasher again.

Although at second to last pick I'm not overly convinced he has my best interest at random heart.

One more thing: are we keeping the traditional score stats?

I somehow think Turnovers are a valid category.

I guess we need to get this started pretty soon. I'm used to including turnovers from years of playing Yahoo 9-cat, but it's kind of nice not having to worry about it.

Btw, this will be my first Dynasty League experience. What are the differences? We draft rookies only? What is "keeper" ?

The draft this year will be a normal draft with all players available. At the end of this year, you pick a set number of "keepers" from your team (sounds like we are planning on 7-8) that will carry over to your team next year. And then we will draft again next year with just the players who didn't get chosen as keepers (and new rookies).

The main difference is that you aren't picking for only this year. So players like Towns or Porzingis who are really young and already really good get more value because they will be really good for the longest time. And you may be more willing to take a young guy who may not be great right away but has a chance to break out.

Yes, NTB, think about the fact that it's almost like you are building a real team for now AND the future, so older guys have less value (though they may have value later in the year for trades if you want to trade to a team trying to win it all this year for a pick next year or a young player not contributing as much to his team this year).

I've never done it either (except I was asked to take over a crappy team in a fantasy football this year in a 20 team keeper league with 4 keepers per team because the guy bailed on his team which had Peyton Manning for years but since he retired, the team had no one left so in that league I am in a true rebuilding situation with not really any good players except a bunch of young guys I drafted).

The main problem with turnovers is that with many of us, we have only mostly played in the leagues here which don't include turnovers and including them completely changes player rankings. So it would require more new research for many of us. I've done other leagues last year (and maybe year before) but they didn't include turnovers either.

UGh turnovers suck....If you want Towns going 1 followed by Kawhi then Davis, then sure, add TOs.

I get the difficulty adding TOs but it is a buzzkill as obviously a ton of the best players murder you...
