defensively, it's all about discipline with him. He's got the tools.

also it's probably a dead horse by now but holy hell Bender's only role offensively on this team is standing around at the 3PT line and maybe shooting one here and there. Suns aren't even trying to take advantage of his best attribute, his passing/playmaking. Alright.

Imagine if the 76ers parked Ben Simmons in the corner for 90% of his possessions. Travesty.

Marquess you need to add another 80 pounds of muscle if you want to tear the rim down, buddy.

He "needs" a lot of things. It's remarkable how much shorter the list of needs is though in just these few months since the draft.

Bender with some arc on his shot! That is a good looking shot there!

Chriss then Bender for 3.

Love that combo up front, so much versatility and actual potential...

Suns could feasibly run a dangerous 5 out smallball lineup in the future.

Now let's see some Bender/Chriss PnR's, yeah? Or elbow DHO for Bender + Bledsoe/Barbosa with Chriss ducking in from the weakside.

that play they just ran for Warren, running up to the top of the arc and then a screen from Chriss, you think Suns could run that same thing for Bender once in a while?

nah I'm a fan of the rookies, to be honest, just here to watch them

I just comment a lot on how the Suns are misusing/underutilizing Bender and his skillset. So it might seem like I'm only a fan of him.

If you want production from players, especially rookies, coaches need to put them in positions suited to their natural playstyle/skills. Decent example I can think of, Zach Lavine and the idiotic PG experiment. He was awful at a position he wasn't suited to play, and whenever he played at the 2 alongside a lead guard, he produced.
