Yeah, if he is able to learn team defensive concepts and really makes it a priority to be a flat out good defender, he can probably be up there with almost anyone.

I wouldn't say "good" chance considering Embiid is probably top 2 or so defensive C, but he certainly could be a stud.

Ayton is a better and more explosive athlete. So he has that going for him. Can't wait until we play them.

I hope you are just saying that in general because I love Ayton. He is one of the most likable guys personality wise I've seen play for AZ or the Suns, if not THE most likable...though Jackson is up there too.

Ayton will be the fan favorite. Booker has been the guy for the fans to latch on to, but I imagine Ayton will surpass that pretty quickly. Kris Hanson will be in twitter wars daily.

Yea, in general. Mikal vid was nice too. Booker, Jackson, Ayton, and Mikal could be running this city if they do things right. They are gonna have a blast! All good fun guys. I hope they transfer that to positive synergy and wins and no one gets jealous of the other.

Yeah, I hope so too. The hype of Booker and him seemingly enjoying being the media darling hopefully isn't a problem if he has to start sharing that or someone else takes over. I have zero idea to know...his mannerisms come off as cocky but sometimes when he talks he seems more humble. They all seem close so hopefully they can have that camaraderie like the Warriors have where Steph just wants talent even if the spotlight is taken over. I have always been hoping that Booker becomes more like Steph than Kobe.

Yeah, it's obviously a fluff piece but he seems genuinely personable. He looked just as friendly and engaging with the crew and fans as he did with Spike Lee.

I liked how excited he was showing off his watch to the one crew member towards the end.

I like the Mr personality straight to humble to meet Spike Lee. Also addressed him as sir, humble, respectful, thoughtful young athlete. Hard to come by in this generation of brash young ****. Did not sense an ego, he will work hard to prove any doubters wrong and not be lout and out front about it. Tim Duncan type brain/ego in a David Robinson body. Big up young buck!

I did. This kid commands the room. Watch the presser. There is no timidity whatsoever. That swagger will only grow. When you watch the presser watch his response when Dave King calls him "Joel". He is stone-faced. Then he responds with a no comment. Then as a question goes to someone else you can see the anger surface a bit. There is an edge to this guy, which is not a bad thing.

I also like that he didn't engage in the bull with Embiid. Saves it for the court, outside of that he has not time for what other players say or do. Didn't even want to answer the question of who in the NBA he is looking forward to playing against.

As far as him and Booker I don't see an issue, Book is mature and i'm sure he knows that a number one pick is going to get a lot of media attention. Kokoskov has already told Deandre he wants to run the ball through him on offense, i'm sure Book will appreciate the help. I think they both just want to win, and you throw in JJ and Mikal with there competitiveness? It's going down, teams are going to hate playing against us next year.

I think a lot of guys play up that friendly personality on camera, but Deandre seems like the opposite in interviews and press conferences, he is more shy and quiet like he was at the presser, then you see the behind the scenes and his reputation of being an entertainer that everyone likes starts to show.

Didn't KG talk trash about STAT in his rookie season right before their first meeting? Then STAT went off and dropped 38 & 14 on one of the best defensive bigs of his generation? :o

Is history going to repeat itself?

Those two would’ve played together if it weren’t for Marion blocking the trade.

I find it amazing that even though the west had significantly worst teams this year, the future of the western conference is great with Ayton Jaren Doncic and Bagley all heading there.
The scariest question in NBA history.
