Jackson and Bridges play the exact same position and are both too small to play the 4. Not sure I understand the move.

Interchanging wings, switching on defense, thats where the league is now. Nobody is complaining Boston has too many good wings after the run they had.

We'll see how well it works when Hayward is back. Tatum had a hard time guarding Lebron due to his size. Marcus Morris did a much better job. They gonna run a lineup of Brown, Tatum, Hayward and Morris?

If Booker can be Harden at the Point, then we are in better business. I don't like Jackson at the 4 unless its a small ball lineup.

Everyone has a hard time guarding LeBron. Not sure I'd use that as a barometer.

Our offense looks like garbage more than usual when Booker is at PG. I dislike this idea greatly.

Sure but Morris did a much better job because he wasn't giving up 50lbs. Bridges is built a lot like Tatum. We'll see how it works but I don't think any of those 3 are ideal at the 4. You want someone at least 230ish lbs.

:lol: Our offesne looked like garbage no matter who played or what we did. If you can differentiate between Booker being Point made it worse, more power to you.

I don't care who ran point, our offense sucked, so I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss putting Book at point with a shooter like Mikal out there.... 50 44 and 85 at 6'7 on the wing is a lot better than..........JJ and TJ and Elf and who ever else were out there bricking wide open shots.......

I think Booker can work at point for stretches as well. If Warren can ever develop his corner 3 to a respectable level we could run Booker, Jackson, Bridges, Warren and Ayton. Warren has enough weight on him to not get pushed around on the block.

Booker - Jackson - Warren - Bender - Chandler

Booker - Jackson - Bridges - Bender - Ayton

I think the difference is huge. Especially with Ayton instead of Chandler or Len. Also with Bridges' and Ayton's shooting.

He is shorter than Tatum (not by that much) however Tatum got pushed around badly by bigs at time last year, in fact he said his #1 priority is getting stronger this off season. The celtics also have MUCH better help defenders then the suns do, allowing the team to cover and double more situations for when someone gets into trouble, if anything its Jackson gaurding 4's and Bridges gaurding 3, due to strength even though Bridges has a superior wingspan.

I don’t like the idea of Booker playing PG. After giving it a shot for handful of games last season, he himself said he would rather play with a PG or something to that affect.

Booker turns the ball over at an extremely high rate when he is the PG, its terrible and shouldn't even be a consideration.

@Revived
@TOO

You are right. That's what happened last season. I am just saying we should give another chance this season with the new roster, Kokoskov and more experienced Booker.

I think Mikal will end up being one of my favorites on the team. Seems like he has a great attitude and maturity to his game and mentality. Plus he has that winners edge and is a good leader.

Harden's first three years in the league (entering 1 year older than Booker) with scoring + assists/turnovers. (I included scoring to show usage, which accounts for turnovers):

Rookie 9.9ppg 1.8assists/1.4
2nd year 12.2ppg 2.1assists/1.3
3rd year 16.8ppg 3.7assists/2.2

Booker's

Rookie 13.8 ppg 2.6 assists/2.1
2nd year 22.1ppg 3.4 assists/3.1
3rd year 24.9ppg 4.7assists/3.6

Granted Booker was given the green light far earlier than Harden and didn't have Westbrook/Durant in the pecking order. Harden always had a sharper handle and was a more natural distributor (especially on the break) but he also had great finishers in Durant/WB and Ibaka.

It was in Houston that Harden took that MVP leap with 25.9ppg, 5.8 assists on 3.8 TO but again he had decent finishers/shooters in Parsons/Beverely/Ariza/Gordon and even Dwight Howard for ally-oops.

I think we should experiment with stretches of Booker at PG. Jackson showed some real flashes of being a great cutter. Bridges is a threat from day one from 3point, Bender/Ayton will be decent. Maybe sign a combo-guard like Eric Gordon? I don't know how Okobo will be off-ball, I also want to see how Knight shows up and gels.

It's going to be a hell of a ride this season.

Yeah his arms are long! You can really tell on his jumpshot. NOT saying he is as good as durant, but their arms look similar when they shoot (just how long they are).

Apparently he gets complimented a lot on his long limbs....according to him in his interview with Lindsey Smith.
