The NBA really let the Lakers just get Dalton Knecht for free...

Knecht is the real deal and obviously belongs; Bronny James clearly does not. It's been funny how they just completely ignore him in the offense.

So sad to be a child of nepotism and only here because of who your daddy is rather than on your own merits.

Looks like the beginnings of another long season, letting a winnable game skip away due to the same problems: sloppy ball handling, bad shots, and a lack of defense.

Can't believe they let a rookie carve them up like that. Truly pathetic effort by that unit.

Easiest loss for us ever called next to the wemby game last year. We don't have guys who ice up they just get scared. Suns culture going back decades now.

Is what I would say if I didn't think before posted. But nonetheless we do seem to always get outcompeted/athleticismed/out dogged/whatever the **** that quality is called in close games.

It's preseason at least.

Meh, preseason. Our actual rotation players looked pretty great together. Bridges is useless if he's not hitting 3s. Ty Ty isn't an NBA player. Dunn had a rough game with fouls, but not worried about him.

Not only does he have a really annoying name, I'm about 65% sure the only reason the Phoenix Suns is giving him a shot is because of his AZ ties

Bro, end of bench with players likely not even gonna be on the final roster. The team looked really good with the starters and main reserves. Ball movement and off ball movement was elite.

Lakers had a guy go supernova...even if we executed better, we didn't have anyone to match someone go that hot

Fine. It's early. But Beal still doesn't look like the $50M he's being paid. And some of those guys have no business being in the roster.

Washington was decent at Kentucky, so I don't know what happened to him to fall off so badly and quickly.

Yeah the starters looked really good. Loved Nurks 3 ball.

The loss though even if it was irrelevant considering the players on the court is just kinda funny because even the main playing squad loses these types of games going back several years now. It was evocative of the way we lost to the bucks in the finals/wemby last year etc

Bol or Ighodaro at PF next week?

I can see Bud getting annoyed at Bol's laconic nature, but he's the better player.

I hate losing this game even it it was a meaningless preseason game.

First of all, I really like what I saw from Nurkic and his "new" style of play, he played it very well. 2/4 from three already.

KD and Book are in mid-season form. Tyus, O'Neale and Monte played very well and are ready to go too.

Dunn had a weird game with too many fouls and some of them were meh fouls. He needs to stop reaching in some particular plays, like a couple of times against AD. But +15 in his 20 minutes.

I love Gillespie and I think he deserves an NBA contract....but TyTy and Jalen Bridges? So far they have played strictly bad for us, I don't have any expectations for them.

Bradley Beal was our worst player by far. Bad decision after bad decision and he missed too many shots. And he was Austin's bitch on defense... what the **** was that?

If he is gonna play like that in the Regular season he will be a bench player after 10/15 games. Hopefully it was a just a really bad game and he plays fine next week. Praying for that because we need him.

I like Dunn is aggressive he can always pull it back in, most players you have to push to be like that.

A lot rests on him, he looks like the only guy who can impact defensively to a high level.

Looks like he'll be first off the bench for Beal, he'll get Harden match up straight up.

Dunn's defense was electric, even if he was a bit too aggressive. He'll learn how to avoid fouling with time, but it's already clear how much his defense impacts our play.

I think starters played well on offense, though it can be even better. My one concern - the pick & roll defense with Tyus and Nurk did not look good, with both Reaves and Knecht torching it repeatedly.

Nurk is a reasonable defender in the drop, but he doesn't have the length and quickness to defend two players, and Tyus is just too small to impact the play once the offensive player has him on his hip. If the the likes of Reaves and Knecht can exploit that, elite operators like Luka or Shai are going to be absolutely destroy that scheme.

We'll need to find counters for that - a credible switchable lineup is something we'll need to come up with.

Think Grayson and Royce could both be trade candidates come the deadline.

My dream trade is still Grayson + 2031 for Deni Avdija.
