Pick #5 of Suns most hated top 10 list

Hate is a strong word anyway. I don't hate anyone. I hated the way Brandon Knight played, and Josh Jackson, and Ayton at times. Bender, etc. Kendall Marshall, the list goes on. But so many people here are so young and haven't been Suns fans for long, that Ayton is fresh in their minds. I didn't have high expectations for him at all. And he exceeded them for much of his time in Phx. But watching him in the Portland game was a good reminder of what can be so frustrating with him. But he's definitely not nearly among the worst Suns or least hard working or lazy Suns of all time, and didn't get DUIs, beat people up at hs basketball games, hit his wife, not work on his game, not show up for team activities, and generally had a likable personality.

A thread about most beloved Suns of all time would be better, but again, with so many fans relatively new in the Suns history, it would probably be full of more current players (which is ok I guess).

I went with Horry. Will never forget or forgive that shoulder check on Nash. That series should've gone to 7 and if we won, we'd likely beat the inexperienced Lebron Cavs who we beat 2-0 in the regular season

Morris twins for me. FOE "Family Over Everthing" is just a gangster motto to me which exactly what we got from them in Phoenix.

I don't hate him, he's just supremely disappointing but I don't hate him.

FWIW, his rebounding and defense in the that post-season really helped us get to the Finals. And he did make Giannis work the hardest in the Finals series but a mere mortal can't stop Superman. Credit where credit's due but while some were expecting his development and his ascension into stardom was going to continue trending upwards, that was basically his peak. It's been downhill every since.

The fact the Morris brothers haven't been voted in yet is crazy. Like a guy like Ayton was disappointing but those dudes are straight up turds and truly hateable.

SO ... this is a weird poll... yeah, there are a few players I didn't like for their failure to live up to expectations. Bender, Chris, Jackson was a tool... and then a few who really just quit on us like Chowder (especially Chowder), Ayton, and Bledsoe (tho I don't blame him). The MoBros were straight up gangstas but they played hard for us. the Horry hatred came after the fact, and many forget Amare's blatant solicitation for a FA deal.... but none of these guys did real damage like McDungahhh and NoShowJones and to a lesser extent Kerr. Jones and Kerr blew valid chances at a title, while McDingleberry was just a poor judge and manager of talent (Goran says hi). Porter and Watson were **** coaches but they were selected by GMs. Monty was far worse IMO, considering what was possible. That leaves the owners*.... Sarver and Wishbia. BobbyS and his foam fingering was an odd one. His real F-up was letting Joemamma Johnson go, but we did get le Cherub Diaw and he did oversee the glory Nash years. Still some dark years followed. Currently, Wishbia has dug himself a hole, a big one, and looks to be still shoveling. When it all washes out, his impact may be the longest lasting one. He gets a 'this year' pass before even the most optimistic see the pickle he has brewed.

I quit hating though, as this is such a rollercoaster franchise to be a fan of. Im about done with emotional ties, or rather wore out. I have no 'Favorite Sun' anymore. Ive been through 3 finals... and at this age, will be surprised to see another.

* it should be noted Jerry Colonjello had at one point the worst trade in the history of the NBA well, for our franchise anyways, (Roby/DJ) but he did get us Westphal, Davis, Adams, Kidd, KJ, and Barkley. We've had such likable players throughout the years. not so much anymore. but the whole league has changed and been compromised with massive money.

Frankly, Jerry might be tops on my list just for selling out when he did. How things changed post JC.

I voted Drysdale since I can't physically watch a home broadcast she's on without lobotomizing myself.

My real pick would be Horry though. From quitting on the team after the trade to phx from hou, to the lakers, to the hip check. F that guy.

I think the whole Roby/DJ trade went down quietly. Compared to todays twitter "I don't want to be here" antics ala Bledsoe, the 1980's were a dearth of NBA silence. From what I understand, DJ was a complete azzhat to MacCleod who was probably the best ever Suns coach. I can't blame Jerry for moving off a douchebag and maybe Roby was all he could get. Kinda like a modern day Ayton. The return value was never gonna materialize.
