Haven't watched anything yet, but nice to see the result and NBA.com's title 'Young Suns put on show'. From the comments sounds like what we expected -Maluach is a project, Brea is a great shooter. Hope Flemming's knee will allow him to play in next games. Dunn and Oso showing improvement is key too.

P.S. after watching highlights - liked that Brea scored not only on open shots, but had nice drives and cutting to the basket. Dunn and Oso are still the true twins after they got their names wrong twice on the highlights video lol.

Oso is the king of intangibles, he does so many small stuff on the court.

I love Brea's game. His 3p shooting is beautiful.

Maluach is an exciting player to watch. He was a bit nervous at the beginning but he played much better in the 2nd half. I really like his skillset and his demeanor.

And props to Collins. Good PG.

This was about what I was expecting from Maluach. A little out of step, attempting things he's not quite developed in. I think his role will simplify during the season, but it's good to get him reps early. I hope game 2 is a little more in rhythm for him.

Huntley was interesting too. Don't think he's necessarily a rotation guy, but I think he's worthy of the 2-way.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

A nice, well rounded effort tonight. Maluach had a decent game and Brea just slays from distance. That guy is a killer and I was elated to see us get him. Nice contributions all around.

Brea has such a pure shot, he's going to stick around in this league.

I really hope they can put Maluach on some PEDs or something, he is SLOW. Reserve judgement for the second summer league and his second season - I do not see anything other than mop-up duties for him next year, unless we really want to be a 25 win team.

Maluach looked pretty raw and I am not sure we should actually be getting him to jack up a lot of 3's.

His athletic limitations showed as well as he got swatted a few times at the rim but he did have several blocks on his end as well. All in all this guy is a project that will need a couple years to fill out until he gains some strength and experience.

It might be too premature to trade Richards as it might be better to have Maluach spend some time in the G league instead of rotting at the end of the bench.

Probably a good idea. Let's see him after spending a couple months in the G-League. He really needs to develop, strenght, stamina and basketball overall. He can "ride the elevator" up and down between GLeague and the Suns on a set schedule to keep up with the big team.

(Another upside with this would be getting some playing time for Oso - who is a 3rd string C at best due to his limitations, but if he has a couple good games he might be a bit of a trade bait when trades come. Maybe you can get a second for him from someone, or he gets taken instead of tossing in a /non-existant/ second from the Suns. As much as I like the guys effort I just can't see a 6'9 center without any kind of shot or dribbling skills make it in todays NBA. This came to mind as I really liked what I saw from him today on the effort, intagibles side - really, hats off. I would love to see him on my euroleague team as a bench C! )

Yeah, as mad as people were about trading for Mark Williams after drafting him, do they really want to start this 18 year old kid who averaged 5 pts and 5 rebounds against NCAA competition? I know he's a great prospect, but it will certainly take a few years. Which is fine, because Williams is legit. He just needs to stay healthy.

I liked a few things last night but the first thing I noticed was Brea does have a pure shot. And that shot will stick around the league

Malauch - does have some room to grow -- this is almost needs to be a redshirt year. Get in better shape, work on his game

Dunn and Oso have been in the weight room - noticeable

Looking forward to seeing more

The best thing about yesterday's game was Oso. He looked quick, strong, intelligent, taking care of every detail and alert. Still some shooting to develop. He probably worked a lot to muscle up as a C and now he needs to play PF. He could be a nice PF should he develop a nice toung.

Negative fact; after watching Maluach, I understand why we are keeping Richards, Maluach needs at least one year of working intensely. His college videos seemed sooo different...

After watching this game, I’m even more worried that Maluach is going to bust and bust hard. I don’t like project players because they rarely reach their potential. I’m keeping my fingers crossed he at least becomes Andrew Bynum.

Maluach Is 2 years away from being 1 year away. Didn’t like the pick but I’m praying he turns into something, anything servicable. But right now, still have him as a bust.

Fleming is the one player I really want to see on the court. Brea is as advertised, can shoot the skin of the ball doesn’t do much else. Worst case scenario is he becomes Troy Daniel’s 2.0, which is fine. But for me Fleming has a lot of pressure, he needs to explode and give fans some excitement.

We should temper our expectations after 1 Summer League game for Maluach. He is only 18 and will need coaching and development. Calling him a bust after 1 SL game seems to me a bit premature.

I expected the hot takes, just as maluach is a bust, Kobe is a 6th man candidate. I will say I was suprised at Kobe’s ability to put the ball on the floor more than anything. We knew he was going to be a good shooter.

Define a Bust. I would keep Richards.

Williams / Richards / Maluach

Play Maluach 15 min a game. Maluach will be fine. He is 18. We just need his peak to be 10/10 with 2 bpg. What did you expect. The guy started playing ball like 5 years ago. He will be fine. You expect a #10 pick who is 18 to avg 20/10 or something?

Its Suns fans. They cry all the time. That should be your expectation. If fleming comes in and scored 6 pts only , they will call him a bust as well.
