I think last season is a complete wash because of Porter, Amare's injury, and Shaq... This year with what we have right now we will eclipse last year and easilly make the playoffs... Anything more is icing on a cake that will taste so much better than the trash I thought we would be eating just two hours ago...

Yea I'm leaning toward sit tight and wait for the season.

Nash
LB
Jrich
Clark or Frye
Amare when we go small!!!! Amare would wreck havoc with that lineup. Why get another useless Center in our offense. If the center is not Okur or Bargs, why have him?

Good news to a point. Better than what we thought was going to happen. I respect Hill in his decision, but am kind of puzzled. I’m surprised he did want to go to Boston for a chance to win a championship. I know Nash is great, but come one, a ring is one of those things that defy your legacy as a great player like Hill. If he would have left, I would have not problem with it. I met him when he first signed with the suns at Nash roast party almost three years ago. Nice and down to earth guy, just like nash. I am excited he is staying and hope we can at least get out of the first rd for once.

I like Frye and have always thought he could be a nice role player on our team. He has the size and can hit the open J. I hope he can show some of that promise since he will get more time with us. I think the suns are in a way moving in the right direction by finding guys that fit the system. I think we are going to be a middle of the road team.

I think with a healthy Amare and a FO that knows what they are doing with him, can have a better team than last year.

I think we are better than Houston and IF Utah trades Boozer away, we are better than them. Im not sure about the hornets yet, but they did not have a good year. This is how I see it as of now.
Lakers
Spurs
Nuggets
Mavs
Portland
Phoenix
NO
Clips.

However, I am expecting a first rd exit again, which is better than last year. Oh, and on the positive side, nf33 is going to stay in the forum.

Hopefully with more minutes Lopez can bring what Dalembert brings.

Ha hilarious, Nash's extension is actually a 2 yr deal that worth approx. "33 millions".

Dalembert would be perfect here. I hope they use big bens contract and pull of this deal. Then we have a nice front line.

Give and take man, i dont know. Dalembert would make us hugely better defensivly, and saves money (he makes less than richardson), and the contracts run out at the same time, but the ofense is lost, and dose he fit with this team????? i would do it because i dislike J. Rich that much!! but thats just me, i dont know if its a good b-ball decision.

That lineup has 8th seed written all over it, the Lakers might rape us

No way we go into the season with Amare and Lopez as our centers. Lopez is what he is...foul prone, bad hands, no rnage on his shot, very limited on offense, no back to the basket game, average at best rebounder. He might get better in terms of positioning on defense, but honestly his ceiling as a player is Dan Gadzuric in a contract year...i.e. good back up...but not starter material.

Amundson is a lot like Lopez...only smaller.

Amare doesn't like playing center, he's abysmal on defense, and you can't have a guy like him anchoing your frontcourt on defense. Defesne starts with you bigs. Period.

In order for this team to actually scare anyone this season they need to find a player who can give us some D up front, (both post and P&R), rebound, as well as help maintain our floor spacing with his shooting. Kurt Thomas fits that bill as well as anyone in the league.

Great day to be a Suns fan. And serious props to GHill and Nash for staying loyal to the fans. Great guys who I still hope retire in Phoenix.

As far as Dalembert, did you guys watch the Philly-Orlando series a few months ago? Hell, even Theo Ratliff looked better at times.

Look at it this way, we aren't a contender right now with or without Dalembert or a player like him. Why not just hold onto Wallace and have a TON of capspace in '10 to chase a marquee guy? You tie up our capspace again and we're left with no flexibility again, it's basically the Shaq trade 2.0...

Are you new to the planet?? Amare played center for us more tan he has PF, and guess what??? We were BETTER when he did. BTW, anyone making an assessment on Lopez's ability as though his growth was written in stone last year, just shows me you know nothing. I would have loved to have heard your analysis of Bynum after his rookie year. He avg 1pt and 1 reb a game in 7 minutes!! Lopez needs to play in order to get good. You just don't keep dumping over paid bums in front of him. Dally is 28 and Lopez is 21. Let us give him a try.

Could just have something to do with the team option on his contract... or maybe it's 33 million for three years, two in addition to the one he has left...

Otherwise that would be much more than even he was asking for.

In Wormwood's defense, Amare was widely unsatisfied when he previously had to play Center.

He said it impacted his game offensively as well as defensively.

Shoals is one of my favorite writers(FreeDarko) and was one of the main proponents of the SSOL Suns so that hurts to read.
