How did you do it last time regarding the password so randoms dont sign up? Did I just PM the password to everyone?
Should be able to renew last season's I think...before you do though just double check the roster size etc

If there's still room for more, I'd love to participate again. Only problem is: I won't be able to check this site too often during October and November, so anyone got an idea when the fantasy draft might take place? Don't want to hold up the whole thing, that's why I'm asking.
I really like the idea about having two leagues this year with teams advancing/being relegated, btw.

Gotta either go by Realgm Post Count or fantasy performance/experience, or pull random names outta a hat...

Re: FANTASY 09 Planning Thread (paging BringinDaRuckus..)
Well, I think we should first include those you played last year into league A. So that means the max number of players in each league will be 16.
Now..... if league B cannot obtain 16 players, we should probably pull from the bottom of league A (or take volunteers, I would be happy in league B) to even out both leagues.
16 players should remain the max because of how many picks there were and how long it took. Also, the talent level of players falls big time with so many teams in the league.
I will be reviewing last years league this afternoon. Looking at stat categories and such. Also, shall we keep the same line-up setup? I believe we had PG / SG / SF / PF / C / UTL / UTL / 3 x Bench
Now, if the leagues each have less than 16 teams, we might adjust the rotations a little. Like Maybe add a G position or a F or another C.

Re: FANTASY 09 Planning Thread (paging BringinDaRuckus..)
I agree that last year's players should prolly get preference, but they won't all be back this year, so after that gotta decide which of the newcomers go where...
For the stats I vote to keep it like last year.
For the roster I agree to keep it PG/SG/SF/PF/C/UTL/UTL/BN/BN/BN if we're 16 or more players, but switch to sth like PG/G/SG/SF/F/PF/C/UTL/BN/BN/BN if we're less then 16.
If the 2nd league has 10ish players then using the standard lineup settings would be a good idea, since it's pretty big IIRC.

Well, I think what I was getting at was that each league would need to have the same settings and each league should have the same number of teams. So if League A has 16 teams and League B has 10... wouldn't it be wise to take 3 from League A (volunteers first, or else we take the teams that finished last) and place them in League B.
What does everyone else think about this?
And thank you Miklo for getting the ball rolling. We will need to have confirmations sooner rather than later. Between two leagues this will be fun!

Miklo, if you are up to it, would you want to take care of the draft process of one of the leagues and I take care of the other? We will need two seperate threads for this... hahaha.
And to answer the question about finding out the password to the leagues, people will need to email the person in charge about getting the password and league name. I hope all this makes sense. I think once everything is decided this will be cake.
Looking forward to the 28-29 season.

Yeah for sure, I'll run one of the drafts. We just need to get our "rosters" set, then we can break out into 2 new threads. I say 2 leagues should be the same size, same rules - so there is parity when you get promoted/relegated. What's the final number btw on how many get promoted/relegated?
And does anyone else wanna play?
EDIT: Our list is at 21 people right now

Re: FANTASY 09 Planning Thread (paging BringinDaRuckus..)
I think if we are going to have 2 leagues then there should be 2 "even" smaller leagues. We are not going to get 32 people sign up, so we wont have two 16 team leagues. Right now (this thread has been up for 5 days, so not too many others will join IMO) we have 22 potential players, with 11 confirming from last seasons league and 11 noobs, but I don't think a couple of them have confirmed their interest.
So in saying that, if we go with say 12 in each league, we should add an extra G and F but not an extra C. The C position is thin normally, but now you also take out Ming, making it even worse. Something like this would be perfect IMO. PG, SG, G, PF, SF, F, C, UT, UT, BN, BN, BN. Same stat categories as last season as there was no "negative" stats involved.
As for relegations, I say bottom 3/top 3 should swap. That way in most cases the people who check their team and stay competitive till the end will have the best shot at staying in league A and the top 3 teams in league B will be both the most competitive as well as best fantasy ball players.
BTW, Miklo I noticed the other day but didn't say anything, nice pic in the opening post.

Thanks, dug that one up from over on Planet Orange...Yeah you make good points about all that, I agree..I was going to say just a G/F swing spot but a G and an F sound good if we're gonna have 11-12 in each league.
Now we have to confirm everyone's interest and attract whoever else wants to play. I don't wanna spam this board up but is it worth creating a thread to get people's attention and confirmation, or are people who are interested enough all checking this?

I would think most of the people who want in would be checking this one. Maybe a thread calling the "unconfirmed" ones to confirm or deny from your current list on the first page. TASTIC could lock it after they have confirmed or denied, but having said that, you would think they would be checking in here if they are really interested?

Because these things take so long I imagine we'll start pretty soon, really as soon as we get a confirmed list.
And NF33IH I'm not gonna do a triple quote but why don't we call for everyone to confirm here and if it looks like no action we'll put a thread.

Hmmmm but didn't most people already confirm their interest? I thought there were only a couple of people who hadn't confirmed? Hopefully the others who already confirmed will check back in this thread again. LOL

OHHH, I thought you meant for everyone to confirm that they had said they were interested.
Ok I fixed that roster, everyone is in now I'm not the ahole who kicks everyone out for not triple checking

Bloody Duke supporters.
I thought we Duke fans were meant to be smart?
Anyways, I could have sworn there was 11 originals and 11 noobs that had registered interest, you only have 10 noobs now. Previously you had a couple question marks or more so, questions re a couple of potential players, I don't remember who, but are those two definitely in now?

I took rsavaj off the list...I had only put him there in the first place cause he asked a question about how fantasy works in the offseason thread, but he never came to this thread or replied...the other question mark was Kerrsed but he's in for sure.
