Horny imo is overvalued by us cauz he's a seemingly stabilizing locker room presence , better than the other coaching options at the time. He's decent with both vets and younglings although he doesnt command much respect or impose authority. He's not a offensive mastermind who has drawn up his own system and defense is obviously an afterthought, and I don't how much of a role he plays in talent evaluation or scouting and of course his name alone isn't going to lure in the significant FAs

They paraded them to the line. I didn't say we didn't make matters worse for ourselves. But there was more contact against IT on Lee's block than Bledsoe on Green. And clear as day, Gasol hits MkMo on the elbow for the last shot. Now if MkMo misses both free throws, then sure it's on the players, but he should be on the line, as well as IT. If they are going to let them play, then the Green foul shouldn't have been called. Refs won the game.

Oh, and the only foul called on the Grizzlies in the first quarter, was their foul to give.

If you're going to play 3 pg and let then take all the shots, fine. At least play them with Len at C, and Wright at PF. Would have very good defense with the offensive kick from the pg.

Finally you guys get it! Hornacek. Ridiculous. Well at least I can sleep good knowing that we don't have a chance in hell to make the playoffs or seeing any sign of traditional ball.....ridiculous. 7pt lead and still running small ball ON DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bledsoe got hammered a lot too. Suns don't get calls. The FT attempts are a joke. You can't say all the Suns shots were jump shots.

I wouldn't say it was Hornaceks fault by any means. I didn't notice anything blatantly bad that he did during the game.

You didn't watch the game?

Suns didn't get a rebound in the final minutes of the game and Hornacek decides to leave our only 7 footer on the bench while the Grizz go with a big lineup of ZBo and Gasol to finish the game.

Who do you think will win, Marcus & Kieff vs Randolph and Gasol?

COmmon sense.

They didn't get rebounds though. Just fouled. The rebound they did get dragic was at SF and green beat him to the ball.

Off the suns miss... Memphis didn't call a timeout think of it as like a no huddle. It doesn't allow you to sub out one PG. Or even a big.

And you don't sub them out on offense because Memphis couldn't stop them.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Look, Hornacek was good for getting a brand new team together and helping them rise. However, he is absolutely not a good option to take us to the next level.

Came close beating who I think is the best team in the NBA is good. It's how we lost is what's hurting. Suns gotta prepare for Portland. Going 4-4 is great with who we've played during this stretch.

we lost to two game winners in that stretch. which really sucks.

I think the ice under our feet is getting thinner by the week. I wouldn't be surprised if we are outside looking in by the all star break.

I watched the game from start to finish. Sure I would have liked to see Len a little more in the second half. But from what I saw in the first half and what Marcus was showing in the 2nd I was more than happy having them be defended by Zbo and Gasol. Now we had a few costly turnovers and Kief took an early jump shot that I would have liked to see him drive. But what got us back into the game was small ball and I can live with Jeff riding it till the end.

Small ball is something that gets you into games because of transition and all that but when the game slows down, it will fail you almost everytime because other teams will just post up.

I think its too late for a fire sale to set us up for a tank, but I think its fair to say that this roster has peaked.

I'm more intrigued by seeing what we have in our untested commodities than trying to squeak by with this rag tag unit and get a guaranteed first round exist

Thats the sad part, even the worst roster will play to their maximum capability at one game during the season. I don't remember this team clicking on all cylinders all year long. Its been up and down every game

I bet if he could, Hornacek would trade for Nate Robinson and run with a lineup of

IT
Nate
Bledsoe
Dragic
Kieff

I'm not joking even one bit, dead serious.

Look pure stupidity lost them the game. Why in the world did Hornacek take out Wright? He was playing good defense. I held my tongue a lot when I see the awful mistakes Hornacek makes but I cant no more. Jeff Hornacek your a DUMBA55.

He took Wright out for Kief I believe which is fine with me. Marcus was hitting all his shots. When we have a lead Jeff has always went with scoring over D. We can't let them back in if we're getting baskets every time down the court. Unfortunately we had some stupid TO's and a rushed shot by Kief.

And I agree but Jeff has always kept it small. When we get a lead Jeff has the mindset that they can't get back into the game if we score every time down the court. A few TO's and Kief's rushed shot are what lost us the game in the end. If we get the ball up the court with 1:20 and Kief blows by Gasol then no one would be talking about Jeff, just how clutch Kief is.
