Kind of weird you don't see the top 4 in the second list on the first list.

Post defense is more about strength, toughness and experience.

The second list is more about rim protection and help defense. Usually there are long players with great agility and nice timing to bother shots. Look at the wingspan of the first 5 players in the list. Crazy length.

It's remarkable that Nurkic is on both lists.

I checked some Synergy numbers.

Defending post-up frequency
Rank Name Percentile Rank
1 Victor Wembanyama 57th
2 Jusuf Nurkic 52nd
3 Anthony Davis 30th
4 Bam Adebayo 23rd
5 Rudy Gobert 3rd

Defending post-up points per possession
Rank Name Percentile Rank
1 Anthony Davis 96th
2 Bam Adebayo 94th
3 Jusuf Nurkic 92nd
4 Rudy Gobert 89th
5 Victor Wembanyama 45th
