Yeah I just think his knee issues have been overblown (no pun intended). The prognoses for Roy and Amare were bad from the start. Nothing like that here.

Neither were that bad from the start. That's why they got big second contracts. Then during their second contracts they progressively got worse. That's why Phx didn't want to give Amare a third contract without insurance.

Amare's injuries were different.

Roy's were very similar. He signed a max contract after his rookie contract, and the spring following that, he tore his meniscus a third time and was pretty much done, but Portland owed him max money for three more years.

Stop quoting Sports Whispers! They have zero credibility.

But they have a twitter account using hashtags with NBA team names. Sounds legit to me!
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah I remember when Brandon Roy tore his meniscus and then around 8 days later the Blazers put him into the starting lineup against the Suns in the playoffs. I always felt that that was what ruined his career. Having him return basically one week after surgery on his knee was inexcusable on the behalf of the Trailblazer organization. I remember watching him play after his adrenaline wore off and it looked like he could barely move.

Here is a quote about it from Wikipedia: "On April 11, 2010, Roy injured his right knee. Magnetic resonance imaging that night confirmed a right knee bone contusion (bone bruise) and on April 12, further examination of the MRI showed a slight meniscus tear. Roy underwent surgery on April 16 and was expected to miss at least the first round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs, but returned for Game 4 after eight days of recovery time to lead the Blazers to a win."

So the Trailblazers risked his career so he could play a series in the first round against the Suns. THE FIRST ROUND! This is not like it was the end of his career and they were in the finals. They risked all of that for a first round playoff series that they were the underdog in as well, even if he was fully healthy. I always thought that was pathetic of them to do and they made a horrible mistake.

That was a bad decision, but it was a recurring injury, and eventually the cartilage just basically was weak and deteriorating, and that had been the reason for all the meniscus tears.

Perhaps Bledsoe's cartilage is strong, and they were both fluke injuries and it won't happen again.

I'm not saying anything will inevitably happen, but it's a risk to give him a ton of money nonetheless. How big that risk is we can't or don't really know.

Holy Hell. Made the mistake of listening to Sports 620 or whatever the FM version of it is online thinking Gambo was on. :banghead:

It was Colin Cowherd and he whined with a squeaky voice for 5 minutes straight about how all the stars want to play in LA. :vent:

Took my headphones off and went back to work because I just cant take that guy.

Yup. Last year at the trade deadline he said PHX should trade their 3 first round draft picks to LA for Pau..

Guys, I've just heard that the #Suns are posturing themselves to get Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid when their rookie deals are up. Watch out #Cavs #76ers!

You have to give to get bgwood... Warren and Henson plus 3 drafts picks is a nice parting gift for Love... Low salary commitment, two youngsters + 3 futures is a nice haul for a team in flux. Perhaps you would be more comfortable giving Goodwin up over Warren? We have a glut at sg/sf especially if we retain Tucker... (See below)

Love, like him or not, is that signing that addresses a huge need while boosting attendance significantly.

As for PJ... I'd gladly move him/ S+T for ... Yes ... Illysova if the Love boat sails elsewhere

Man, I am curious what would you offer to Minny for Kevin Love?

If we trade Dragic or Bledsoe for him that`s just a lateral move in my eyes.

Sorry to bug, but I just managed to get to the computer now, so I have a question: are we trusting 'Sports Whispers'? Have they had any credibility in the past?

*Edit: have Riley and LeBron even met yet today?

Gasol was deemed to be an option for the Suns. And still might be. But if he wants to win - he goes to OKC or Chicago. If he wants to get paid, goes to the Lakers

Na that's not a lateral move. Right now SG/PG are probably the easiest position to fill. Quality PF are hard to find. With Ennis in the fold now, Bledsoe (with other pieces) for love is a no brainer.

Agree 100%. I'd rather seal crawl through a field of broken glass and razor blades naked, then jump into a pool of lemon juice than listen to him and that's putting it lightly lol.

Cleveland could look at that in another way, considering Rubio is usually wrong. :D

Seriously, what ever happened to "LeBron will give Miami 24-48 hours to make free agent moves before making his decision."
