I don't see what the fuss is about with Rabb - not surprised he's falling on draft boards. Not surprised Zimmerman's rising. And have you guys checked out Zhou Qi's draftexpress video? Dayum!

A lot of tantalizing big men prospects in this draft. Wouldn't mind grabbing one more pick in the teens. If you draft one of the bean poles, you gotta wait a couple years before they'll hit the court.

From my youtube research surely Zhou Qi is a better prospect than Labissiere.

Zhou has length, pretty good skills, an decent body control. He doesn't have the speed or athleticism that Porzingis has. While Zhou can shoot, his outside shot is not as good as Porzingis.

Yeah, Zhou Qi might be the Gobert in this draft.
I'm intrigued too (but I highly doubt he's really this young - several people questioned his age years ago)

Yi Jianlian lied about his age and was three years older than what he listed. You never know...

Would be nice if we could receive some late 1st or even early 2nd and use them on some boom or bust prospects.

I think it would be great to trade the Cleveland pick and move up 8 or so slots. It would be nice to get into the range where Sabonis might go.

Since I'm sick of the Morris bros bs I have just one petition for McD:

NO MORE THUG PLAYERS PLEASE!

I want more guys with Booker's character and iq. Guys that Spurs would pick if they could.
Speaking of Spurs, if they scout Bender so much then I want this guy (if not in top 2).

And please no more trade offer for thug Okafor!

Yes
Alkins will visit AZ tomorrow, Kobi is already recruiting him and Alkins even retweeted this post haha
247sports has us as clear frontrunners for him.

Our recruiting is looking very good now, if we manage to land JJ this would be nuts

I dont see all those guys fitting, especially with what AZ would have next season, most of them can't shoot a lick.

247 Crystall Ball now has Kansas as the frontrunner for JJ but that could just be due to the Rawle Alkins interest. Hopefully Rawle decides soon either way.

The lineup could be 10 deep though...

Allen, PJC
Simmons, Simon
Smith, Alkins
JJ, Markkanen
Ristic, Comanche

Ben bentil with 42/12 against Marquette. He would be a great pick with our late first, really underrated at the moment.

Bill Self will screw up another prospect? I dont think JJ will land there.
Sean Miller complained a lot about our lack of talent this year, I think he'll kill someone to get JJ too (even if we get Alkins)

I haven't watched enough, but a few mocks have Rabb going after 7 more around 10. Why is that outside of the usual, they don't know what they are talking about which most do not. I went over the last 7 drafts, and boy did a lot of teams whiff on a lot of guys.

Such a crap shoot!

Draftexpress has Rabb at 13 and Jaylen Brown at 5. If these guys are THAT good, why is Cal 7th in the PAC 12? I know this is probably the best year in the PAC 12 in a LONG time, if ever...I mean look at the Bruins, who beat Kentucky. They are tied for 9th.

Well, they just put an 83-63 drubbing on the top team in the PAC-12, so maybe Cal is just a late 'bloomer' this season; think that win gets them in the field of 64, or 65, whatever the current number is these days, LOL!! So long as they finish with at least 21-22 wins, and make it out of the PAC-12 tourney with at least one win.

They have a couple of 'bad' losses, but they lost to the #5 team by 1 pt in OT @ Virginia, lost to Oregon in Oregon by only 3 pts, and have beaten Colorado, Utah, AZ and Oregon, and are 16-8 overall, so no, not great, but they have beaten some quality teams.

Right now Lunardi has them as an 11 seed, with 7 PAC 12 teams getting in and UCLA in the first four missing and Oregon St in the next four missing. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology

If UCLA and Oregon St beat a a couple of the top tier PAC 12 teams each (though I guess Oregon is the only true top tier team at this point), they may have an argument for 9 PAC 12 teams getting in, though that is likely doubtful to happen. They are going to beat each other up.

Big game for UCLA tonight against AZ to help their hopes. ESPN 7pm Phx time. As I watch it I will be imagining JMac1's reactions with every moment.

Cal's poorly coached relative to their talent. Cuonzo is probably an average coach overall, but elite talent like that often performs better because they typically land with a top 10 coach instead of at Cal with Cuonzo.

SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

UCLA is obviously tough, having beat some of the teams they have, and always bring their A game against us, but we don't look to me like a team that is going to get far in the tourney at this point. If their bigs didn't foul out, we would have had a very hard time winning that one.

But Zeus is great. Free throws were a rare problem tonight.

The PAC 12 is tough though, so that may help us come tourney team, especially in the PAC 12 tourney before the big dance.

Kris Dunn is a monster. I know the comparison is John Wall, but to my eyes, he reminds me somewhat of MJ. Whoever picks him is getting a stud.

Really makes me wish we had the LAL pick instead of Brandon Knight. We could get 2/4 of Simmons, Ingram, Dunn, Bender. Now that possibility belongs to Philly. :(
