I'm all for tanking, but don't trade Bogdan. He's got a 6'11" wingspan and can play the 2 and 3. He could potentially be an elite 3 and D player for us, with the ability to run the pick and roll at times. That has a lot of value. His defense was his weakest spot, but has come a long ways this season from the scouting reports I've seen. Why trade him? He fits the age of our future core.

There was some discussion on Brightside about Steven Adams. The Thunder might be willing to deal him for Chandler in order to have vet depth for the playoffs. I would do that.

I dont understand that. Why would they give up a much younger prospect in Addams that is currently outplaying Chandler? Why give up on youth AND more on the court production for......for......hell, i dont even know what exactly Chandler could provide them.

Veteran experience. He's won a championship. Chandler looks pretty good when he's surrounded by a better supporting cast. Someone's gonna have to help double team on Durant/Westbrook and that could leave Chandler open for oops.
Adams is overrated. He's a glorified hustle player. His ceiling is far lower than Len. I would trade Chandler for him, mostly because of cap room but I wouldn't consider Adams starting material.

Why would OKC want Chandler? For the same reason we wanted him. I think it does make perfect sense for them, but earlier I had seen the mention of Chandler for Kanter, considering age, similar contracts, OKC ready to win now, etc, but I didn't think I'd want to take on Kanter's deal, but it might be more trade-able in the future.

Yes, imo, he can. His wingspan is 6'11" and he's more athletic than the stereotypical Euro player. He should be able to play the 3, particularly after a year in an NBA weight program.

I'd much rather Bogdan at the 3 than Booker, although I think both are big enough to play there. Between those 2 and Warren the minutes at the 3 should be set. We'll see though. You never quite know how a Euro player will adjust.

Yeah, and I think OKC would rather have Kanter even though he doesn't start. You just don't pay a guy that much unless the FO likes him, even though they were somewhat forced to given their cap scenario.

For Phoenix, you want Adams over Kanter. Kanter's defense is just a disgrace, and we have a lot of scorers already. With how important rim protection is, I just can't see a scenario where Kanter is playing, particularly given our weak perimeter defense.

I'd be all over that deal, surely Houston would be open to moving KJ as they have given him no opportunities since he was traded there from the 76ers middle of last season. I think he can be a good player in this league and Jones at this point is a much better fit for us than Kieff so this deal is a no brainer.

I can't imagine any deal we do wouldn't be a three-way. You know McD's been combing GMs for months trying to figure out the best approach. Wings are both valuable and available, but we have no need for them. No matter what happens, we'll be sending out Keef, and maybe Chandler or Tucker, and we'll be getting back a pick and a prospect, and probably a vet 4/5 if we send Chandler out. I look forward to seeing what new assets the trade deadline brings.

So we're three days from the 15th, are you guys expecting a trade on that day? When do you think Kieff will be shipped? How about Brandon Knight and Tyson Chandler, are they getting moved before the trade deadline too?

Doesn't work cap-wise, which is why we'd need one of Ariza or Brewer (or Lawson) to come back.

I'd LOVE Adams here. Obviously as a Kiwi I've got a man-crush but he's also a tough-nosed banger who doesn't take grief from anyone.

It would mean Len's future would get even murkier though obvoiusly.

RealGM Rumour - Lakers are said to offer DeRozen $25m next year.

I'm pretty confident that we won't have real problems finding trade partners for Tucker and Chandler. But Kieff is totally different story. Can't see getting anything more than a pick & expiring of dubious value.

Holy god. Hard to believe this can be true, but it's THE LAKERS, right? I can expect anything from them now.
