I am not opposed to taking on salary for either Chandler or Dudley but I would hope to do better than JoVal if attaching a first round pick to the trade.

Chandler is expiring, JoVal has another year - they should be giving the pick.

But I am open to using a pick to attach either Dudley or Chandler to get the right veteran

I remember liking Looney a lot, but I don't remember how high I was on him at the draft. Rondae was probably my guy, because Rondae will always be my guy.

But I still think Looney's a good player who doesn't get a lot of minutes on a stacked team. Wouldn't be against picking him up this summer, as long as it's not a steep price.

Loney was projected to go mid first until they found that hip injury that eventually cost him his rookie year. He's always been a tallented dude.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Looney has shown defensive skills that would be very helpful even if the pick is Ayton. As I have stated, I would take Ulis/Williams dollars and give to Looney as the WArriors can only go to 2.2m. Granted, LOoney might cost more then 7m but he is a solid player, if healthy.

Still think the key to this offseason is how to better allocate Chandler/Dudley dollars. At least one of those contracts - even if you add draft pick - for a solid veteran - would be very helpful to the team - plus it upgrades the roster without having to use all cap space.

Do any of us like the idea of K Love and Korver on this (trying to win) suns team?

Draft Ayton or Doncic

Trade: #16, Chandler, Dudley, Chriss, Daniels and the Bucks pick next year to Cavs

Suns get: Kevin Love and Korver.

Two solid vets that know how to play. A starting PF. A backup for booker who can shoot the 3.

Are the Cavs trying to blow it up assuming Lebron bolts?

Pretty solid though I think the Cavs probably want Warren instead of Chandler or Dudley. The one thing this trade does - it would leave the team with 12m of cap space - as Williams and Ulis would still be on the roster. So, with that 12m - what type of player to target - my guess, a PG - maybe Evans, Smart Bradley type of player

Granted, defensively, pretty bad. So, if you did trade for Korver/Love - that is where Looney could be valuable off the bench for defense at the expense of Williams.

Love is about $24 millions and 29 years old with a history of injuries; I would stay away from him like an anti-vaxxer and her kids.

I'd rather add a solid, lower ceiling high floor guy at #16 than get Love and Korver.

For those Luka fans, how about going all in on small ball? Draft Luka #1, put a package together for Lonzo(Magic said everyone is on the table, I just don't know what the package would be at this time), sign Dedmon or trade for Jordan.

Go Lonzo, Booker, Doncic, Jackson/Warren, Dedmon

Knight, Reed, Jackson/Warren, Chriss, Bender

I wouldnt touch any of the Ballless brothers. Having to deal with thier father is a massive pain and draw having the team work together.

I understand that, and that's totally acceptable. I just think of all the possibilities if you have Ball as the lead ball handler with Booker, Doncic and the front court athletes. Ball would be great next to Booker too, as he is a good rebounder, passer, defender and has the potential to have a good outside shot.

You could really go crazy and draft Doncic, trade up for Porter jr., then trade for Ball. Now you are trying to take small ball to the extreme, switching everything, with passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and running. Ball/Booker/Doncic/Jackson/Porter jr.

Why are you going to draft Doncic if you are going to play him off the ball? The biggest thing that Doncic brings to the table is the ability to make the right pass at the right time.

Many around are saying that he is better off the ball and as a secondary ball handler, letting someone else take most of the possessions. Besides, Lonzo is a pretty darn good defender at the 1 and Luka is better at the 2/3 and might end up being a 3/4.

I agree

If we draft Doncic, I want my PG to be a 3&D type guy. A Pat Beverley or Avery Bradley kind of player

if Lonzo fixes his shot, he couldn't be a 3&D++ type guy?

He could but Lonzo's elite passing and vision is what made him the #2 pick (and the whole LA connection), otherwise he'd just be a 6-6 3&D guy. It wouldn't be a good use of his talent.

And that's my point. I think adding another ball handler in addition to Booker, Doncic and Jackson wouldn't be making good use of his talent. Doncic and Booker would be the primary ball handlers which means Jackson and Lonzo would be fighting for scraps. If we didn't have Jackson, I'd be more comfortable moving assets for Lonzo.

I would do it because of how much more valuable Jackson would be with a Lonzo and a Doncic. Two guys looking primarily to get others easy shots.

Doncic is going to be the biggest bust of this draft.

I have a feeling we get them, and this will go down as the worst draft pick in suns history.

Dude is not going to be able to do anything against these NBA defenders . I am confident he will not be good in the NBA.

Mark it down.

Get Ayton. Can't teach athleticism and size. Ayton is a freak.
