It only took 2 or 3 years but Shamet finally had a meaningful game for the Suns. He finally put some arch into his shot and didn’t hesitate and it started falling. Pretty sure this win is probably Monty’s favorite win ever as a coach because of it.

Booker is just very special player that we may never have for a very long time. I felt the same way about watching Nash and the way he impacted the game and Booker’s right there. One of the best scorers this league has ever seen with his ability to score all over the court.

Nice that KD finally had a good game where didn’t shoot like crap or have 11 turnovers. Lot of clutch buckets when offense was becoming stagnant too.

Ayton made hustle plays at the end that was big for the win. But the fact that we’re truly celebrating a 8 pt/8 rebound game where Suns were outscored by a team worst 13 pts whenever he’s on the court speaks volumes to how low our expectations have become for this max player.

Bench really came up huge. Landale was phenomenal again, he’s really showing the Spurs level Iq and why Pop was interested in him. Already talked about Shamet. Warren was big for us and so was Ross. So many fans wanted both guys getting minutes since the 1st round and it is fair to think the Suns may be up 3-1 if both had gotten minutes sooner. 2 games late but at least Monty finally did the right thing.

It’s a shame that Payne isn’t giving us anything. He’s usually done well when playing with starters but has become a real non factor in this series. He’s gonna have to give the Suns an efficient 12-14 pts for the Suns to win this series. I hope he’s due.

Overall both wins were nice but I really enjoyed this win more than game 3. Hope they can keep it going in Denver though.

Shamet's dream is the matrix we're in now.

Steph Shamet pls.

After he hit one 3 and rushed another one on next posession I thought 'does he think he's Booker now', but then he hit three more. Nice game by Shamet. Hopefully his good game gives more confidence to the other bench players too.

Booker and KD were amazing. Suns win. Yet the focus of the usual suspects is on Ayton. Pathological hatred. Go get yourself checked by a doctor.

I agree, and still don't believe he'll be suspended, but that video makes it pretty clear that he should be.

I initially was fine with it but reality is he SHOULD be suspended. You cannot assault a fan. Now, I kind of hope he is suspended since he's blatantly lying about what happened. The guy who grabbed him did so after the shove. And players are not allowed to rip the ball out of fan's hands. He was an idiot, and I still have not forgotten how he broke Cam Payne's nose because he got mad about a no call. If I was Ishbia, just to troll Jokic, I'd press charges, because it is from a legal perspective assault.

Currently in Universal Studio Japan. Just wanted to comment that I think Shamet earned at least half his contract in just this game alone. I always figured he’d be huge in at least one playoff game for us. If he can pull off another offensive stunt like this he’ll have a new name… the ShamGod!

Oh and Booker and Durant both had pretty average games…

He absolutely should be. He won't as that could flip the series. At the very least they should give him 2 games to start the season with next year.

So I am officially the negative-est nancy? Fair enough

My prediction is Suns would have a lead and blow it down the stretch, couldn’t be happier to be wrong. Booker has been totally unreal. Just unstoppable. The shots he’s hitting are insane and he’s making major contributions outside of just his scoring. If this is Point Book then maybe it’s not such a bad idea. When KD’s shot is also falling we look damn near unstoppable on O. Completely unexpected performance from Shamet. He still had to have his moving shots, but once that first one went down he was just spotting up and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he finally looked good afterwards. Winning in Denver is going to be extremely tough though. Feel much better about that prospect now that we have a bench to bring with us.

It took a while but I feel we've finally figured out the right lineups to beat the Nuggets, winning in Denver is always tough but if we can grind out a win in game 5 this will be a backdoor sweep.

I'm loving what Jock is giving us right now, rightfully punishing the Nuggets for their smallball lineups. Also like what I see from Ross, he's probably the 3rd best scorer on this team and I wouldn't mind seeing him play more with the starters. Okogie on a short roll 4v3 situation compared to Ross is a different beast.

One of the best basketball games in a while, Suns won while playing beautiful and, as you say, resident haters and negative nancies are hating on Ayton, who btw. had a valuable defensive performance. SMH

If Shamet starts chewing his mouth guard like Steph does I swear I want him gone and traded. Steph’s nasty habits better not rub off on our hero and savior of game 4. Shamet should be protected at all costs from this moment forward.

Many of you were bitching and moaning about Shamet playing over Okogie, you really think Okogie hits 4 threes in the 4th like Shamet does tonight? The Suns need another ball handler with CP3 out and someone that can MAYBE hit open shots, Landry does that. I’m surprised with his defense, man he’s trying so hard out there.

I hope this board shuts the hell up about firing Monty Williams for a bit. Yes, he should have gone to Ross and TJ earlier in the series, but I understood why he went with more defensive type players next to KD and Book than worrying about more offense. Suns fans and this board need to be better.

It is really sad to hear the incessant hate that is given to Monty. He is a class act and pretty damn good coach. We are lucky to have him. I expect our players love him as well.

The hate towards Shamet is because of his production which has been awful for a couple of years. However, we saw a flash of what he can do earlier this season when Book went down and Shamet had back to back 30 point nights. Then he went down for 2 Months. He came back just before the playoffs and is still getting back in form. If he can continue to provide good defense with 10 + points per night it would be fantastic.

Book and TheSham shooting at 80%, Ayton dives for a loose ball, Monty plays TBuckets and Ross….

And all is right in the world ??

Don't give Ishbia any ideas, he'll probably try to swing a trade for Ben Simmons just for the heck of it.

Ayton just doesn't fit well with Booker AND Durant offensively right now. If it was one or the other - fine. KD showed desire to run a two man game with him and I think they can build something there but need time and practice. Suns need to build DA's value up next season by running more plays for him early in the season. You don't want to overuse Book and KD in more or less meaningless games. So why not run more of the offense thru Ayton. See if it works and once he starts putting 20/10 again decide if he's a good fit or there is a better complement to your superstars on the trade market.

DeQuandary is a slow learner. Hasnt really embraced the game mentally. I agree, give him a half a season to adjust to his new found complimentary role. Hes still a dude who can get you 20… and we dont have many of those inked up next yr.

Shyt, we all ought to be used to his short comings by now

Haven’t turned a game off early in a long time. Other than a few instances since the KD grade (two Denver squeakers at the end of reg season and Clips Game 1) the team wide effort level has been really good. I think KD has had a really positive impact in that regard. The only time I get angry enough to turn a game off is when they play lazy/scared as a group
