I mean maybe it's plausible that the Magic are getting desperate enough for shooting...but Goga has just been so good. Maybe they go back to starting Carter Jr and take Nurk in a separate deal to be the backup (along with draft capital perhaps)? Goga might be the best value contract in the league tho, to be honest.
I've been on the Allen-to-ORL train a while, thinking to get filler and the DEN 1st to route to a 3rd team for a forward or big. To me Goga has been too critical for them to trade (unless it's like a star trade of course). With Wagner out for the year and Carter Jr a health risk, they might be even more hesitant.
I think it will be a minutes split with Goga and WCJ. I follow the magic well through fantasy and I think the consensus at least among their fans (and the metrics) is that Goga is better by a small but definite margin, but coach LOVES WCJ, but they do enough things differently whilst being close enough in talent to just split minutes/go with whomever is playing better.
Also is it just me or is Franz actually much better than Paolo? The idea is that they are similar if not Paolo being the lead, but that's not what I see when I watch them. Oh well, kind of irrelevant anyway![]()
Goga for Allen is a very fair trade though. I'd give my left nut for it since goga is 4 years younger. If we have picks left over we can try and find some wings. Hopefully not a redundant one like Bogdan. Goga is far better than Nick Richards. Offers surprising passing ability, big time screen setter, every 5-10 games he may hit a 3.
If you get Goga here playing 28-32 minutes I think you'd see a lot of Suns fans get united behind him in a way that hasn't happened since like Marcin Gortat.
Now Goga for Allen seems like a decent enough move. Would the Suns have to give a draft pick or do you think just straigh up - Goga for Allen
If its straight up Goga for Allen - probably saves Ishbia $25m bucks of cash as Allen makes much more than Goga
I think I would be more excited for Goga than Butler thats for sure

I was thinking a while back, asking a question about Jalen Williams vs Book, but I figured it wouldn't make sense on the forum since most probably don't know Jalen Williams game well. It's good to see he made it. OKC is certainly deserving of two all stars and will probably have 3 the next few years, but I'm a bit surprised he made it over guys like Kyrie and Book even though I think he is a phenomenal player (heck, I traded Jokic for him in fantasy dynasty. Well, him and Sengun).
Jalen Williams is not better than Book, he is bigger and stronger and more versatile defender than Book is but the gap in their offense is pretty big imo. JDub is their second shot maker and creator on that team but there's level to this. That said the Suns can't have two all-star, that's just the reality. And he hasn't been good.
Yeah, I think Book is better. It would have been more of a trade value thing, length, age, cost, control, versatility. If they were to be swapped, and I don't think OKC would trade Jalen for him, what would equal the value in trade.

No picks otherwise remove Allen.

Now if the Hawks are trading Ingram - Capella is probably involved. Would they want Nurkic than for Center
Nurkic FRP for Bogdan and some future 2nds - type deal?

I don't think it would require any picks. At least when I look at the metrics they should be very comparable players. Goga is a starter though which like...might inherently raise his value/perceived value even though it shouldn't really mean anything given their impact. So best guess is no, it shouldnt require picks.
For us though Goga could get us 30 minutes and if we're talking comparable players then that at least in theory is a strict upgrade since Allen plays 25-27 (27 mpg more recently in this winning stretch).

24 minutes a night 9 points 8 boards and at least 1 block, had some double digit rebounding game off the bench, good energy, smart defender very instinctive.
The Magic needs offense though and Allen aint it

The 2005-06 Suns will always have a special place in my heart

I have said from jump that I could see Grayson and Tyus wind up in Orlando.

I think the fact that Suns fans are pretty unaninously in favor of this swap should tell you that Orlando may not be so excited.

Personally, I'd push for the Denver 1st (24th pick) But if we can't pull that from Orlando, I'd still be fine with 2 2nds..... The 43rd and 57th picks in the 25 draft! Because I have very specific targets in these ranges that would significantly impact things for us just as Ryan Dunn has!!!

If Ryan Dunn gets traded I’ll be done with Phoenix and find another team to root for. He’s an excellent player and we can’t lose him under any condition. I swear don’t trade my boy Dunn Dunn

Allen is severely underrated by Suns fans. He is our best player off the bench.

I'd think that per reports indicating that New Orleans would seek to try and reduce their payroll further, they'd just let Capela expire or buy him out, and then keep Bogi themselves as they'll look to trade McCollum shortly after. And then pair Murray and Bogi (previous Atlanta experience together) in the backcourt. I'm just not sure there's a trade here for us. Overall, If an Allen to Orlando trade could happen for Bidatze, That'd be great! And if successful, I'd follow it up with one of these 3 Nurkic trades:
1- Nurkic/ CLE 27' 1st to New York for Robinson/ Kolek/ Dadiet.
** Flip Robinson/Dadiet to San Antonio for Paul/Champagne/ CHI 25' 2nd (39th pick).
2- Nurkic/ CLE 27' 1st to Toronto for Olynyk/ Mogbo.
3- Nurkic/CLE 27' 1st to Philly for Martin/ Oubre/ Bona.
