Its a smart move for him, given his injury history and the quick turnaround.
Booker may also pull out too, if they make the Finals and it goes long.

I really don't want Book playing. I get it that players want to do it, but I wish he'd wait till the 2024 team if he wants to get his gold medal. That's only 3 yrs away-not too long of a wait.

I think it's the perfect time. Stars will hopefully have a reason to envy Phoenix and he can tell them all the good things about the place.
And, win or lose the finals, a likely gold medal will look good on his resume and probably help his cause next year, and the coming years, for in season awards.

I'm good actually.
**** all the doubters and those who waited too long to give us respect.
Keep it in-house.
We got hungry mouths to feed, anyways. Saric, Payne, Carter, Cam Johnson all need more minutes next year and can let CP3 and Book get some rest.
I'm fine bringing back Galloway or Nader.
And I wanna see what Jalen Smith does in the summer and brings next year.

We give him the long-term security he's looking for, but he takes a front-loaded or reduced contract.
If we win a ring, I think he gives us a discount AND says no to the Lakers clearing up room for him.
He finishes his career here contending. And then we give him an assistant coach or front office job.

Let's reverse that question.
We win a chip. Why and for what situation do you think is better for him than us? I'm truly curious as to why he would leave AFTER we win the title-in his first year no less.
Floor is yours.
