I think Lebron and Melo stay in the East. The reason they'd want to team up is in order to make it easier to win. They'd have the easiest time in the Eastern Conference.

I'm still down with grabbing Hayward and Love.

Dragic/Ennis
Bledsoe/Green/Archie
Hayward/Warren/Marcus
Love/Markieff
Plumlee/Len

That's a deep team with a lot of possible line ups. I don't think many teams would be looking forward to playing against us.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Which other teamwill give Wade $13-$15M a year though? Wade can't set his own market that high. I think both Wade and Bosh care about free loading off LeBron and winning couple more chips before retirement more than anything else. That'st he vibe I have gotten from every interview of Bosh when he's asked about it and I'd assume Wade is that way also.

One thing about staying in the east though - most of the competition is zzzzz. I didn't want to watch Heat games this year, because they were all against the Bobcats, Bucks and Hawks, metaphorically speaking.

Out west it would at least be entertaining every night. I bet ratings would go through the roof for nationally-televised Suns games. So many good match-ups for the super-team!!

True, but then when the finals comes around, would there even be a team in the Eastern Conference to challenge a team in the West? The Bulls (if Rose is Healthy? Pacers (what if Lance Stevenson leaves)?

Pitch Lyndon B. Johnson on bringing Phoenix its first championship. They would build statues in his honor for that.

Good counterpoint. It would be a one-conference playoff, lol.

We aren't on the list of teams that 'Melo is visiting this week. I guess its cause we are a package deal, its either 'Melo with LeBron or no 'Melo at all.

So how did you "grab" Love without giving up any players of worth?

Exactly. If LeBron shows interest, Melo's mind would change quickly. It really is baffling to me that he didn't put us on his list though. There's more to look at in a team than just stars.

If he goes to Houston, he's not winning a ring. Harden's D is horrendous and Howard isn't the same 09/10 Howard. Still good but can't lead a team anymore.

Chicago's issue is, Rose is severely injury prone now. If they are healthy, it's a great opportunity but if not, they are not winning it all.

We don't know if the Suns have even showed interest in signing Melo without LeBron.

Bosh SAID he wanted $15-16 million.

I don't think having an All White starting front court will really fix our problems.

I Like Chi Town's chances with Melo. I think you're right that a lot would depend on a healthy Rose. But say Rose were to come back with some resemblance, I think that team takes on all comers in the East. Melo can hide in front of a Joakim Noah and Gibson Front court to back him up. I might even root for him on that squad because it would still be Rose's and Noah's team.

I don't know about Houston...not enough perimeter D going on there between Melo, Harden, or Lin. You still have to start Beverly...even then, all you got is Howard and Bev playing D.

Little does LBJ know, just him coming to Phx would be enough to win. We'd be too fast between Bled, Drag, Tucker, LBJ, and Plumlee** w/Kief and Green coming off the bench to keep the pace.

**I can't wait for Summer League to start, I really hope Plum worked on his shot and handle.

Fan is short for fanatic. Ryan McDonough is a professional and he learned from the original super team builder (Ainge). Trust in McD.

I honestly feel like:

Bledsoe/Ennis
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
Lebron/Marcus/Warren
Markieff/Ed Davis?
Gasol/Plumlee/Len

is so much stronger than any team constructed with the addition of Melo because of the gutting we'd have to do with the roster. Unless both are willing to take contracts starting at $18mil each, i just dont see it. Even with $18mil we'd still have to clear guys like Len and Green just to make it work.

Bledsoe/Ennis
Dragic/Goodwin
Lebron/Marcus/Warren
Melo/Markieff
Plumlee/?

That bench oustide of Markieff and maybe Marcus is just too big of a question mark. it shows promise, but its just a gamble. And what happens after next season? Dragic/Markieff/Marcus all due up for extensions. I cant see us spending the money needed to keep that roster intact. So we are right back in the same position the Heat are in the offseason, 2 superstars, a star and nobody to surround them with.....unless we want to be in the $80-$90mil range for the next 4 years.

By adding JUST Lebron and someone like Gasol for 2years $20mil we still allow ourselves to keep our roster intact. We can still extend Dragic to something reasonable and even resign Markieff/Marcus.

Thought I read a tweet quite a few pages back from a source saying Bosh is looking for something closer to his true market value. Wade is probably looking at something at least $12m

I would pass on Melo if we could. Adding Melo probably prevents us from extending Dragic/Markieff/Marcus and we'd need to clear Len and Green just so they'd fit in our cap. Melo prevents us from rounding our our bench.

I'm not going to call Sarver a cheap owner, but i honestly dont see very many owners out there who would spend $80-$90mil to field a roster.

I'd trade those 3 players right now for Carmelo if it also guaranteed LeBron.

that's why i said IF. IF landing Lebron wasnt dependent on Melo i would not make the moves needed to bring in Melo. But if Lebron said "you need to bring in Melo if you want me" well, we'd have to bite the bullet.
