Maybe its just me but I would rather just sign Parsons than to trade a bunch of assets for Love and be done with it. Continue to develop our young guys and let P.J. walk if it is anything more than 4 mil per year.

I hope the Suns move on after today. We have waited more than a week, it's clear that if LeBron wanted to become a Sun it would have happened by now.

No point in wasting more time.

But It got me thinking about Wade coming to PHX with Lebron.

I've said I'll take any warm body along with Lebron. But with PHX training staff I think they are confident they could do wonders on Wade. I know Dwade is the king of Miami, and I'm just making stuff up here. But if they didn't like playing with Bosh for whatever reason....? I know I'm crazy.

Dwade with Suns training staff could be amazing though. You saw what they did to G Hill and Shaq. Is it just a coincidence that Nash left team, and could barley stay healthy?

That would be an interesting idea, if our Medical staff thinks they can help. Wade has already mentioned that he isnt looking for a max deal, and would be willing to take a cut (to help keep Lebron in Miami), and it would be great if he would do it here for us as well.

That would then leave us open to trade Dragic/assets for Love.

Then with whatever remaining cash we had, make a push for Pau.

Last but not least, re-ink Bledsoe.

Bledsoe/Wade/Lebron/Love/Gasol

I'm not a huge Wade fan, but he could fit into our slash bro system pretty well. I'm not sure we could fit Love too unless Wade took a significant paycut though. Definitely not Love AND Pau in addition to Wade and LeBron.

I love this kids work ethic. Hard working 7 footers are not easy to find. The kid is going to make everyone forget about last year.

I'm really excited for our 4 young guys (Len/Goodwin/Warren/Ennis).

If LeBron and Wade agreed to come here, and you were gunning for Love as well, then it would most likely be Dragic + Morri for Love.

In case u missed earlier tweets, yes, the Pat Riley/LeBron James meeting is today in Las Vegas. My gut says it won't be at an $8.99 buffet.

Agreed. Our med staff knows what it's doing, obviously. He took a year off, less mileage on his 7 foot frame, more muscle, and people have already raved about his footwork and mobility. We're bringing him along the exact way you want to bring a 7 footer along.

And you're right, work ethic is a huge part of it. And it does get more rare, the taller players seem to be.

Well according to ray ray and other people, the Suns made their final pitch to him last night (or today?) and he is going to meet with Riley today at some point.

I imagine he will then tell Riley he is staying in Miami, or that he is heading to the Suns, but felt he had to tell Riley face to face.

Part of me thinks he wouldn't have to schedule a meeting with Riley if he was just going to stay, but maybe that's wishful thinking.

Trading for Love now is obviously very risky.

I think Dragic/Bledsoe/Green is a great offensive core to build on. We need a PF/C and SF. Why not use our space to make moves on short term deals? Pick up Gasol for two years at $11 million each and Parsons or Hayward for 3-4 years at whatever they would cost (probably in the $12-14 range). Then make a move for Love next year while developing the six draft picks from this year and last.

Remember, the two teams we were absolutely neck and neck with in the playoff race last year, Dallas and Memphis, both almost won in the first round (I think Memphis probably would have without the Z-Bo suspension). There isn't that much separating the top nine teams in the West.

I personally like this lineup a lot and think Dragic and Gasol could have great chemistry on offense:

PG: Dragic / Bledsoe / Ennis
SG: Bledsoe / Green / Archie
SF: Parsons / PJ / Mook / TJ
PF: Pau / Keef
C: Plumlee / Len / Pau

For a smaller, spread lineup we have Pau at C and Keef at PF. For a larger, post lineup Plumdog and Pau.

I know we want him here in PHX but damn this video is pretty bad a$$.

Got me thinking that there really would be no better story for his career than to go back home and win them a title.

Wasting time? The best thing we can do if we don't get Lebron is to stand pat. That means we have all the time in the world..

For what it's worth:

I ate lunch at the Carl's Jr at the US Airways arena to see if I could get any insider info. I saw Robert Sarver in the lobby talking to one of his assistants. He was talking about event preparation (probably future charity event stuff). His demeanor was all business. He didn’t look giddy, like I would expect if he had just received confirmation his team landed the greatest basketball player on the planet. He also was unshaven and looked tired. The people coming out from the Suns’ office heading to lunch also did not look overly excited.

My inference:

The Suns had their pitch to LeBron last night but were not given a confirmation. I believe they were told LeBron would talk to Riley (today) and make his decision. I think the Suns are still very much in it. I’m hoping that the meeting with Riley is to tell him that he’s not coming back (to Miami). I think LeBron learned that it’s best to tell the bad news to your present team face to face.
