So suns got 5 games until the break and trade deadline. If the suns are still in the 8 spot on February 10th do you guys want to see a win now type trade? Or do you want to see guys like green, it, plumlee or even maybe Goran traded for future assets and to open up some minutes for the young guys?

I'm leaning towards a future type move. I'm still rooting for them to make the playoffs but don't want to see them mortgage any of the future because I can't see this team beating golden state in a series even if they get in. Goran is the real wild card because he would fetch some real value in a trade. I love him and prefer they resign him but of they aren't comfortable paying him what he'll get on the open market or of his agent is telling the team he's going to seriously look for a team to play him at the point I wouldn't kill the suns for trading him.

If we're gonna trade IT, we may as well keep Dragic.

It's gonna take a lot more than that to get Jones. Everyone knows by now that Miles Plumlee is beyond terrible.

Not sure if you are laughing in disagreement or laughing in agreement with the comment.

Either way, we can't get anything at all for Mr. Feet Hands. I wouldn't be opposed to dumping him for nothing though because he has a pretty dead attitude, especially since Shav got traded.

From what I have seen of Green and IT on the court and from the Morris twins on (and reportedly off the court) - this just isn't about this play off push. This is all about the future years. I don't like how IT fits the team with or without Dragic. Green is too inconsistent - if his shot is not going, he brings zero - in some cases less because he is a turnover machine at times. Finally, the Morris twins are solid offensively but inconsistent defense and rebounding. Plus, they are kind of coming across as pains to deal and they really are a combo deal. You can't just trade one - they are not mature enough to handle playing at the NBA without the other.

I say move them all for the good of the long term structure of the team.

As for Goran - if it helps the team - trade him. Though we prefer to keep him . I think IT in the rotation jacks with Goran and Goran is a better player. Addition by subtraction.

Plumlee cares more about his hair than the game. I'm joking, but he does comb his hair quite a bit on the bench as he looks on disinterested.

GS should get Plumlee for a pick. If the suns are so low on him, make it a second rounder :D

I'm not opposed to trading the Morris brothers but I'm not sure it's possible right now unless they get this legal issue cleared up in the next two weeks. That might have to be a summer move.

Their extensions make it a little trickier from a cap perspective too.

Funny.

Including Kerr and Hornacek

To this day, I still am not sure what happened when Kerr resigned. Was Sarver being cheap? Was Kerr just done.

I do know this - if Sarver had just paid Kerr for the time of June 15 - August 15 - even $1m for two months, his team would have been better, his cap would have been better and the playoff streak of four years would not be here. As there is zero way, Kerr signs Warrick, childress, frye and trades for turkoglu.

Sarver made some bad choices as owner - not keeping Kerr for the free agency period was a big one - and he compounded it by being GM.

As for the Morri - good point about their contracts as they go from $6m to $13m. So, for a team trading for them, they are taking on much more dollars

Rumor had it that Kerr wanted to resign Amare and bring in a mobile defensive center (think Chandler or Gortat).

However Sarver was against it.

Kerr was also the one that wanted the D'Antoni to hire Thibs to improve the defense.

Kerr has always cared about defense, unfortunately for him, the Suns as a franchise don't and that, along with the fact that Sarver wasn't willing to give him a raise, was rumored to be the reason why he left.

Well, he did trade Diaw and Bell for Dudley and Richardson. That turned out pretty well.

Everything went downhill after $arver made him trade our starting C, Kurt Thomas, who played great defense and could rebound, on a championship contending team for Brian Skinner and cash. :nonono: :banghead:

Makes me mad just thinking about it.

The Kurt Thomas trade was a demand from $arver to save money. His biggest mistake he has ever made an an owner IMO.

RoLo wasn't a bad pick, Suns just didn't know how to use him because they didn't know what defense was and that's exactly what Lopez brought to the table.
