I think we are a team that can offer the best all-around package that wouldn't even need to include Booker/Bender/Jackson. Just pull the trigger McD, this could possibly be our last shot at getting a disgruntled star, and one that would actually fit our timeline nicely.

I'm not an enormous fan, but I'd take him. I'd probably only offer Bledsoe and the Miami pick though. Maybe another heavily protected pick of ours.

Same here. Irving and Booker will not work well together, so no need to trade much more than that, especially as there is a chance it is a two year rental.

Sounds like David Griffin knew the situation and thats why he almost traded Irving to us pre-draft, but Gilbert stepped in and fired him for almost doing so. Gilbert didnt know the situation until just last week when Irving and his agent talked to him directly about it. Now they are in the middle of adding their new GM and he will be in charge of where Irving goes (With Gilbert looking over his shoulder of course).

The rumor of the deal was us getting Irving and pieces in a 3-way with New York, with Cleveland getting Melo/Bledsoe, and i think our 1st was supposed to go to NY (Not sure where it was going).

I have to say that Jackson BETTER be off the table now.

Once again, Gilbert stepping in and screwed over his own franchise.

Big time! this hitting the media plummets his trade value

As i posted on the trade board (A trade that was Irving/Frye for Bledsoe/Bender/Chriss/2018MIA1st/2018PHX1st):

Kerrsed wrote:Suns pass.

Judging by what Chicago got for Butler and what Indiana got for George, i have a feeling that if Irving gets traded, the Cav's fans will be highly disappointed in what the return will be. Bledsoe and what equates to 4 1sts is way too much, and thats even before having to take on Frye's deal.

So what parts can we get from this trade?
Kyrie? Or someone from New York?

Bledsoe/Melo make the most sense for Cleveland if they are trying to compete. Spurs aren't giving up pieces to reload, Wolves already landed their star with Butler. The Heat have no one to offer that would help Cavs compete while also keeping the Heat as a playoff team. The Knicks can give up Melo straight up for Irving, but now the Cavs don't have a starting PG, unless they like Rose starting.

And I disagree about Irving/Booker not working together. I think they would be a great fit.

Not the best source...but if that's true it seems that we are just a facilitator.

Melo to the Cavs
Irving to the Knicks

If anyone is going to Bucs Cardinals game, let me know, I'll be there. 1-1 against AZ on the road thus far.

If you want, post on the NFL General board during the offseason. I've been trying to build activity there and last season it got much more active than in previous seasons. viewforum.php?f=139

I'll try, but Pewterreport Red Board is like Phoenix's Realgm board, active and insightful. Full of diehards.

No to everything. Keep what we have and lets get this thing going. I don't want Uncle Drew's Pepsi drinking ass on the Suns.

Makes more sense for PHX than getting Kyrie, imo. If Nitilinikaka doesn't bust (gigantic if), he'd be a good fit with Booker. Super young, can defend (?), won't bolt in two years for greener pastures, doesn't have a huge ego.

Actually, I didn't pay much attention to Nitili in the draft. But if it was just Bled to CLE for him I'd do it.
