I have Ayton paying 20 minutes with the big 3, so mostly 4th option (when they're all healthy).
But his job for us is impacting defense.

I have to say I'm a little worried with the Ayton weight loss. We've always had problems with getting beat on the boards by big teams.
I can see it helping Ayton in the fast break and switching though.
I dunno. We've got size overall at least and lots of long arms. And even if we signed a bull dozer usually they're hardly rotation players anyway. Just have to beat the big guys like Jokic and AD in our own way.

Rebounding has always been about positioning and effort. Ayton getting a little lighter shouldn't really affect him in a negative way.

Ayton playing terrible basketball in the first half. 1/8 shooting. Tied at 42.
He needs to play great in the second half, they need him badly to win the game.

Ayton with some butterfingers during crunch time. Boarding well though.

Ayton has a lot of rebounds, but most of them are ones that bounced to him. Still doesn't know how to box out and fight for rebounds especially when he's the biggest dude out there. He's been pretty disappointing.
Eric Gordon, on the other hand, has been fantastic. Such a huge pickup for the Suns.

Three three pointers in last three minutes and a steal by Gordon.

If Ayton hit a few more shots this wouldn't have been close

Gordon could probably have 50 today if he wasn't being unselfish. Every time he's passed it out, the other player **** it up. He's been clutch as hell when he takes the shot, though.

10 points 20 rebounds by DA. Just what the Suns are asking for.

Ayton with a GREAT second half, he grabbed 14 boards and scored 8 points.
The MVP was Eric Gordon. Oh my...he played an outstanding game.
Really happy for our guys. Both played very well in this tournament and they look in amazing shape.
Again...I can't believe that we signed Eric Gordon for the minimum. STEAL.

I only watched the 4th quarter. Eric Gordon is gonna win some games for us this season. I think we’d be champs right now if he was on the roster this past season. He makes things so much easier for Book, and KD (and now Beal).
The Clippers probably should have picked up his option or tried to extend him on a friendlier deal. He’s worth more than the vet minimum, even at his age.

Too bad we aren't still in the era of PF's not having to shoot 3's then we could have him play PF instead of center. I really do think PF is his natural position because he tends to struggle with bigger physical centers.

So what does the Bahamas win mean? Are they in the Olympics now? Or is there another World Cup they have to take part in?
Is the run over for the Bahamas now?
