Eff Houston.

That's all.

My emotions would be in a much better place if we would have landed Millsap :(

those stats are slanted to make it look closer then it is, and VAJ knows it. There isn't a single person with NBA knowledge that would say Goran is as effective or more effective at scoring compared Aaron Brooks. He's just not. He's a better passer, and a better defender, and an all around better player IMO - but he's not a better scorer, so don't go placing percentages up there.

There was a time when Pat Burke was shooting 100 percent from three, too. Let's get real.

This trade has me more concerned for the future, too. But only because it means that Nash is probably leaving, and Aaron Brooks is a backup at best. Truth be told, Goran was too.

I agree that we have by far the most bad ass bench in the NBA now. And I think that without a doubt, this team just got better. Maybe we got Aaron to lower ease off Nash's minutes, not to trade him this summer.

I think I'll follow you. Can't get my head around how, of everything possible, this was the deal we make

I haven't felt this bad about the team since we blew up the o6 squad

Last season Brooks shot 43% to get his 20 ppg.

There, is that slanted?

oh...

I just don't know what to think.

I never thought we'd trade Goran. This is so **** sad.

And then... it looks like Nash is also gonna be gone by the end of the season. Even sadder.

Dragic was fine last year, but as MOST stated he has regressed this year, almost like Boris Diaw like when Stoudemire came back.

Dragic was never a Star in the making, he was a Beno Udrih with flashes of Ginobili.... solid, when he gets to reach his potential.

Brooks, in the other hand is tiny... but is a BIG time player.
As some stated, he lit-up the Lakers almost every time Rockets played them.
Brooks also torched the Suns....
Not afraid to take the shots, not afraid to penetrate.

If you look at his stats, he was among the leaders in 3PT Mades last year.... has been injured this season and lost starting job to Lowry due to injuries obviously.

Overall, Not a bad trade.... considering the protection on the pick. I think Brooks is "ok" as the Suns future starting PG or 6th man.....

Now the Suns just need a STAR lol.

Goran couldn't run our offense well playing the point. Maybe they think Brooks can change the way our 2nd unit runs the offense.

Also... a lot of teams were interested on Brooks...

So this off-season, I wouldnt BE SURPRISE if the Suns use him to bait a higher PICK from some of those teams that were interested.

Dragic?... well he had a bad season so his value would be very low entering the off-season...

Babby has to have an agenda somehow...

Suns can keep Brooks, or dangle him for a higher pick.... more flexible options compared to Dragic.

steve nash is a star..just not a glamourus star..we have 2 former perennial all stars in Hilland carter while nash is still an all star forget the voting .i like our depth..we have the best bench in the NBA. We will lose carter next year ( unless a return to NJ form vince carter occurs running into and hopefuly into the playoffs) and one of hill and nash..with the former probably a bench player next year.

we are outside those 3 players a young side. This is a rebuilding process and we might be stuck in midtable for the next few years..yes we could do with a big star PF or SF in time.

I had high hopes for Goran, but he did very little this year. To me his free-throw shooting affected his desire to drive like he used to do. That in turn changed his game and his ability to be a true weapon. I am not saying Brooks can be that weapon, but it seems like the FO is just band aiding the bigger problem. We trade LB, only to find we needed his offense from the bench, and we let Lou go, only to find we needed his hustle to spark the team. We trade Goran to get a guy like LB with worse shooting. The pick is the hardest pill to swallow. If it was a second rounder, maybe not bad, or if we had traded the ORL pick and grabbed their second, even better.

Gambo620 John Gambadoro
Brooks is better scorer, more explosive than Dragic, but not as good a defender. Brooks will cost about 2 mill more than Goran next year

I'm very excited about this deal.

Aaron Brooks is a BEAST type player. You guys don't understand the kind of potential he has. He has battled with injuries + coaching problems this season so he hasn't played that well....but kid can ball.

Dragic was awful this season. We definitely upgraded at backup PG.

But I'm still disappointed we didn't acquire a PF. We supposedly were in talks for Milsap but it never got close....Why couldn't we try Hickson? Cavs are supposedly giving up everything for draft picks!

Is it true we gave up our OWN 1st rd pick to HOU? It better have been Orlando's cause there's no way we give up a lottery pick just like that!

You guys are missing the most important part of this trade. Chemistry.

Dragic was good friends with everyone on the team especially lopez. This can totally mess up with chemistry of the team right when things were heading in the right direction.

that much is true. If we're gonna crash and burn next year's a better year to do it in. This years draft has Sullinger as a top 5 pick, who's potential is Paul Millsap. Millsap's a great player and I woudl have loved if we had gotten him, but he was no top 5 pick in a decent draft
