Seriously, 5-0 on your home turf? Weymar didn't make that much of a difference...

We heard that Sarver, Babby and McD met in person with LeBron's agent and we heard that they have yet to be told they are out. That's why we are still talking about it.
The Mavs and Lakers brass met with LeBron's agent too, but no one on their boards' are talking about it. Not one major media outlet has mentioned anything about the Suns and LeBron in nearly a week.
Nearly a week? Here's today.

And what new information is seen there? None. That's not a report, it's an author dreaming up some fantasy for page views.

Why does it matter? He hasn't signed and this is a message board. Go home.

You said, "not one in one major media outlet has mentioned anything about the Suns and LeBron in nearly a week." I submitted an article to you, from a major media outlet, mentioning both the Suns and LeBron. Fact of the matter is, no one in the media knows what is going on so that is why nothing is being reported. You claim Miami has the clear lead when, just two days ago, it was said Cleveland is now the front runner. Lebron isn't mentioned in Dallas or LA because their rosters aren't better than what Miami, Cleveland, and yes, Phoenix, has to offer.

@ByTimReynolds: LeBron emerged from meeting at 1:42 p.m. local time, telling AP "no complaints. I have no complaints." And that was that.

Was Sarver by the escallator yet?
No.. we didn't see him. My eyes were flying around looking for anything. The only door that was open anywhere was for the weight room, which the Mercury were using. Even the reps we met with were tight lipped! I kept dropping ideas or names I was hearing and they'd just smile and laugh. I'm sure they have a policy about what they can say about what they see.

MeetingS? so he met with multiple teams? or multiple facets of the Miami Heat organization? If he met with multiple teams, that's probably a bad sign since apparently Sarver was in PHX and Bledsoe is back home.

I think Dragic/Bledsoe/Green is a great offensive core to build on. We need a PF/C and SF. Why not use our space to make moves on short term deals? Pick up Gasol for two years at $11 million each and Parsons or Hayward for 3-4 years at whatever they would cost (probably in the $12-14 range). Then make a move for Love next year while developing the six draft picks from this year and last.
Remember, the two teams we were absolutely neck and neck with in the playoff race last year, Dallas and Memphis, both almost won in the first round (I think Memphis probably would have without the Z-Bo suspension). There isn't that much separating the top nine teams in the West.
I personally like this lineup a lot and think Dragic and Gasol could have great chemistry on offense:
PG: Dragic / Bledsoe / Ennis
SG: Bledsoe / Green / Archie
SF: Parsons / PJ / Mook / TJ
PF: Pau / Keef
C: Plumlee / Len / Pau
For a smaller, spread lineup we have Pau at C and Keef at PF. For a larger, post lineup Plumdog and Pau.
Best post so far. Thank u Sir

Dr Manute wrote:bwgood77 wrote: Well according to ray ray and other people, the Suns made their final pitch to him last night (or today?) and he is going to meet with Riley today at some point.
I imagine he will then tell Riley he is staying in Miami, or that he is heading to the Suns, but felt he had to tell Riley face to face.
Part of me thinks he wouldn't have to schedule a meeting with Riley if he was just going to stay, but maybe that's wishful thinking.
For what it's worth:
I ate lunch at the Carl's Jr at the US Airways arena to see if I could get any insider info. I saw Robert Sarver in the lobby talking to one of his assistants. He was talking about event preparation (probably future charity event stuff). His demeanor was all business. He didn’t look giddy, like I would expect if he had just received confirmation his team landed the greatest basketball player on the planet. He also was unshaven and looked tired. The people coming out from the Suns’ office heading to lunch also did not look overly excited.
My inference:
The Suns had their pitch to LeBron last night but were not given a confirmation. I believe they were told LeBron would talk to Riley (today) and make his decision. I think the Suns are still very much in it. I’m hoping that the meeting with Riley is to tell him that he’s not coming back (to Miami). I think LeBron learned that it’s best to tell the bad news to your present team face to face.
This is funny. Can't tell if serious....it's half serious, half funny. If serious, which I'm betting on, I agree about the last two sentences.

There are other items to meet about. Sponsorship meetings, agent meetings, management meetings, etc. By all accounts the Suns met with LeBron's agent last Wednesday, Lakers and Mavs on Thursday, Cleveland on Sunday and Miami today.

The only thing I've heard definitively about Cleveland is the only reason he would really go back is because his agent and wife want him to.

The big problem is Hayward and Parsons will be matched, so that can't really be an end game plan. Pau is going to Chicago, OKC or SA.
You can offer those guys contracts, but I'd plan on them being matched. That being the case, that doesn't leave many options. If LeBron isn't coming here, I decide on letting our young guys grow, bringing back the same team, and possibly signing guys that Hornacek and McD don't think have gotten the right opportunity yet and think they could flourish here (like Green and Plumlee). Never in a million years would people on this board have been saying last summer that we should try and get Plumlee and Green. People would have just said that is a horrible idea. But we did and those guys ended up being integral parts to our success. I truly believe in McD and Hornacek finding and working with untapped talent and turning it into something special. I'd also consider signing a guy like Deng and making an offer at the deadline for Love, but not with Dragic or Bledsoe...I'd offer something like the twins and Deng if we had him and/or picks.
