Speculation that Murray and Sabonis have promises. Hmm. You'd have to think Sabonis's promise would be in our range for it to be attractive. Anyone think we're the promisor?

As for Murray, gotta love a guard that puts up great rebounding numbers. Pretty sure WE didn't make that promise, though.

Any interest in Diallo at 13? Probably a bit high, but we sure could use some motor on our front line. Though we could probably use intelligent team play (Sabonis) more than anything.

No, we need a PF who can shoot. Maybe at 28.

If we drop to 7 I would take Chriss and hope he can be an amare-ibaka hybrid.

That's an interesting chart. I have leaned toward Simmons, but that does give me pause. It certainly means that Ingram is a "alpha" player. He clearly sees himself as a first option more than most in that he looks to score on more possessions and looks to score in isolation. So, does that mean he is less of a team player? These kinds of stats are good if the player is efficient (ppp is somewhat a measure of efficiency) but bad if he is not.

Yeah, but the appeal of Simmons isn't just scoring, it's that he's good (and better than Ingram) at basically everything else.

Wouldn't be surprised if he dropped out of the lottery. I expect there to be better options available at 13. :o

Its not that clear cut its closer than you think. Simmons has the upper hand only in playmaking, rebounding and finishing with 9 feet, Ingram has superior measurables/ defensive intangibles and is already a willing player on both ends. Not to mention he is a superior perimeter marksman, one one one shot creator and has shown a killer instinct to take over in crunchtime For a guy of his scrawny stature Ingram doesn't move with the most fluidity and has a slightly elongated gait, but he's more of a swingman than a hyperathletic wing who can grow into a 4. Simmons right now is strictly a straight line driver who lives at the charity stripe and a freighgt train in transtition, that wont translate to a NBA half court set up. He has an arsenal of runners/floaters to make up for his lack of a faceup game but he if he will hurt his team if he passes up good looks just because he can't make opponents pay when they sag off. Also he needs to figure out whether he's actually a leftie, he may actually be right hand dominant. I think Givony's "hit piece' went a little too far, but Simmosn definitely has concerns. Some of his passivity can be exucsed by jealous LSU teammates who kept the ball away from him becuase they thought he received favoritism under his godfather coach.

I'd take him at 13 depending on who's available but I wouldn't touch him in the top 5.

Also, it wouldn't be the end of the world if Washington moves up, most likely they would get third pick and I don't think anyone outside the top two push them forward much this year. Nene is older, gortat is older, beal has injury issues, wall is great. I wouldn't mind pushing that pick ahead another year.

The chart shows that Ingram is posting a slightly better efficiency on ISOs than KD on a 5% smaller. volume I don't think they are really comparable beyond that because KD was a do it all offensive juggernaut and unarguably the best one and doner ever. But Ingram has show an uncanny ability to alter shots with his length. He can get carried away and leaves his feet on contests but is great chasing down helpside. When when he's keyed in on his man he can be a nuisance on the ball (look at the tape where he neutalized Cat Barber vs NC State)

I feel like Simmons will pull another Kobe on draftnight and force his way to laland because he's always donned the purple n' gold and was high school teammates with the Snitch. At the end of the day it may not even matter who wins it
