This was an offseason transaction that everyone loved but so far it's been an absolute disaster for Utah.

I was very negative on the Jazz coming into the season for this very reason. BUT I understood why they got (or need to get) Conley, it was a risk they had to take. It's looking terrible so far, but they couldn't progress with what they had.

At the end of the day they are 16W -11L, sixth in the West, so everything is OK for them.

Conley has not play well but if gets healthy and Bojan Bogdanovic continues playing great this Jazz team can be a problem in the playoffs.

They are better than the Nuggets IMO, but it's gonna be really difficult for them to win any LA team or Houston...those are the true favourites in the West.

Yeah they are about where I thought they would be.

I wasn't implying it was the wrong move for the Jazz to go get Conley, they needed to shake that team up a bit. Was really just pointing out how unpredictable this stuff can be, when a move like that which was universally praised can not work out.

Conley might get healthy and snap out of his funk but small guards have had a history of falling off a cliff at the ends of their careers so maybe not.

Jazz dont have any depth at all, one of the worst benches in the league.
They will stay in the 6th all year.
They are lucky to have Bogdanovic and Mitchell taking over games, because they are playing so poorly that every game no matter the oponent has go to a close ending.

If the Pelicans beat the Timberwolves (up by 12 near the end of the 3rd) and the Grizzlies beat the Thunder (up by 9 at the end of the 3rd), those are good outcomes for us.

Only the Pelicans lost, OKC is 7-3 the last ten games and now is 13-14.

Kind of scary that Dallas beat the Lakers by 14, the Rockets by 14 (both of those games on the road) and nearly beat the Heat after having a big lead and it went into OT, and Doncic only played 2 minutes before getting injured in that one.

Then they beat the Bucks on the road WITHOUT Doncic and most of the game, had a big lead.

I'm not so sure they are not a true contender. The Clippers give them serious problems due to being able to put Kawhi or George on him, but I don't know about anyone else.

And this is crazy after being a lottery team the last 3 years.

HOF Coach and a good supporting cast that makes what is supposed to be made.
That's a big difference with us for example.

His contact was only partially guaranteed and that's why he was in the trade because after waiving him they got enough cap room to sign Rubio.

Personally I wish they would have got the room by simply waiving and stretching Josh Jackson and then kept Melton.

My goodness Ja. He's exciting, he's also needs to to tone it down or he's going to seriously hurt himself.

Not the first time he dunks on people. It was obvious he'd be a highlights reel and with the way he controlled the offense I wanted him badly. Unfortunately the Grizzlies made it clear pretty fast that he's theirs.

Cant help but think Ja Morant vs Zion will end up similar (although to a lesser degree) to Doncic vs Zion. Guy with a tonne of modern NBA skills posting crazy stats vs a big athletic guy who is solid but not as good.
